has anyone tried the trials options, why to use it? and is the gear you can resive good

and where can you read about the options? tried google but did not find anything

When choosing the difficulty through the tarot cards at the beginning, there is a card titled "custom", that has all of the trials and the information you're looking for. I have a couple of the trials on for a new play through, so far I've received two items, two accessories that I didn't get until playing Trespasser. I've also noticed I'm finding better gear, more often. There's a disclaimer listed under the trial explanations regarding enemy tactics, or rather, glitches that happen during battle. I've noticed when fighting certain demons, they jump long distances/disappear only to reappear right in front of the inquisitor? it's kind of weird. Other than that, I think having the trials on is paying off.
