Is there a resource anywhere which details the optimum choices throughout the game to maximize war assets?

For example, there are places where you overhear a conversation and have to side with one party or the other. Often the choice isn't obvious which would be the most beneficial and you only to get to find out if it was a good idea or not when you look at the War Terminal.

I could trawl through the war terminals for all my past run-throughs but I was wondering if anyone had already done the leg work?

Am I reading this right? You can get a max of 8842 EMS in SP?

That chart includes promoting a character in multiplayer for 75 assets. Don't know why its added to the chart. So I would say the highest possible war assets would be about 8767

The highest I've collect was about 8400

I did see the muliplayer promotion looking through it a second time, but still. In my two runthroughs I think I've only had a little over 3100. I have a lot left to do!

Isn't anything that high simply the Military Strength, while about half of it is the EMS?

If not... how the hell do you get it this high up? :)

Your ems is based on what you do in your playthrough. That's one of the biggest things I like about the trilogy. It can be played many different ways that will effect your ems.

The other thing is that number in the chart is tms (total military strength) So if your galactic readiness is at 50%, your ems would be 4383 using the 8767 number

yes.

The higher number will be total military strength unless your galactic readiness is at 100% in which case both tms and ems will be the same

Ah, so if I don't play MP to increase Galactic Readiness then its 4383?

yes

When looking at the  map in the war room, your tms will be on top, galactic readiness in the middle and at the bottom, your ems.

Okay, I know where I went wrong. The far right column is labeled "Effective Military Strength" but that's not what the numbers mean. The numbers are Total Military Strength.
