I found out after I had completed the dlc that there was such thing as goodbyes. On the original playthrough the only thing I heard was Bull roaring something in Qunlat after exiting the Eluvian (which I later found out was the end of the goodbye dialogue - the rest, including the wheel never appeared). I thought nothing of this as I did not know I was missing it.
After reading about these goodbye dialogs in this forum, I decided to reload the save. I tried exiting yet again (with my original team Dorian-LI, Varric and Bull), got nothing. Then reloaded and swapped Bull to Cole, and straight away upon exiting Varric started the conversation. I reloaded again, this time with the original team and got the whole thing with them also.

Looking back this was not the only dodgy banter trigger I had in Trespasser. Earlier after entering via the mirror, I heard Bull roaring something to the Qunari in the distance. I did not hear what he said, so I reloaded. Even after multiple reloads, I never heard it again.

I give the dlc 10/10 otherwise, but with a small cry of desperation in my mind, as I suffered from the banter problems in vanilla and JOH and that never got fixed for me (in fact I'm playing trials- playthrough in total silence again). My platform is PC.

My fiance romanced iron Bull and got 2 conversations. "good byes" I didn't get any for Sera, we played on PS4

I've gotten goodbyes from every character (though not all romanced- only Sera and Iron Bull romanced lines).  Someone will say 'Leianna told us about what's happened to your hand', and you have three or four choices: I almost always end up choosing the 'It's been an honor' one, where everyone gets a bit choked up and talks about how this will be the last fight because you are obviously about to die.  Apparently.

This is why I visit the Forum. If it weren't for someone reporting this bug, I'd miss the goodbye scene.

 

Wonder how many things I've missed in the DLC and am not the least aware of...

For me Varic started this scene (party Varic, Bull (romance) and Tom) same moment as in video. 

Ok, not gonna lie, I totally just sat here for a second going "Who?" lol Its still weird. 

 

I have not actually gotten to this on my playthrough yet, but now i am very worried its gonna be bugged. :/

Just save before that scene is supposed to occur (before going through the mirror). And reload/shuffle team up and you should get it..eventually at least Might require few (dozen/hundred) loads if unlucky, but I have faith you won't miss it if you save and reload.

Definitely got it on the PC with Sera. Certainly made a good impression on how much she cares about Inky and how helpless she felt about the whole thing. Vaguely recall hearing it when Solas was the LI, but the conversation definitely did leave the same impression as when Sera was the LI.

Dialogue always start and I'm on PC. I didn't feel like it's a goodbye thingy (maybe because the party was putting on a brave, let's-get-'em posture ), more like - we heard what's happening, we're sorry we can't help save you but we'll be with you all the way to the end.
