Inferno/Winter Rift Mage

As we all know patch 1.10 brought new skill upgrades. One of them turns Immolate into cooldown free spell that costs more with every cast in a row.

 

Thing is for a Rift Mage this essentialy means non-stop immolate so he doesn't even have to use normal attacks since he has immolate now.

 

Immolate has a very quick casting animation so with winter stillnes(which reduces the cooldowns by %40) and Clean Burn, a Rift Mage can cast whatever spell he wants whenever he wants. At late levels i was dropping Blizzard, unleashing Energy Barrage and throwing some PoA in every few seconds.

 

Also Winter Tree became very available choice. Winter's Grasp turned into a hard hitter and can be cast rapidly due to Clean Burn. Even better it's a primer for Stonefist.

 

While both AoE and single target damage(energy barrage followed with a winter's grasp then a Stonefist hurts so bad) is very high with this build it shines when it comes to CC as well. With non-stop stonefist and Winter's Grasp(plus new PoA at later stages) enemies simply can't attack.

 

Did anyone else got exited about Rift Mage as much as i do?

I've been playing it and it's fun.  I still run with the AoE Winter's Grasp most of the time though as trash out numbers big bads 90:1.  As for immolate, I get tired of positioning it.  It's what I use when everything else is on cooldown.
