I tried, but gave up after 6 or 7 PUG matches without getting a single point. Too many shitty people online, so brtter off running it solo.

This. So much this. I decided to to do some Routine games so I could work on my Routine extraction points as well. In joins a Legionnaire, Silent Sister and a Archer. All around level 15-17. They all died at the last wave :(

How the **** that is possible - I really don't know.

I've PUGed around 15 matches ranging from Routine to Perilous and only got 2 challenge points. Time to solo. It's kinda disappointing as this is the first weekend challenge that I have to solo.

After listening to other people's horror stories today I wasn't even going to risk that kind o' grief...

Solo'd 5 straight matches - Done.

Biowerr, please stop making repeat challenges. We already cycled through the immortal medals goal at least twice now.

I thought it was knockdown!   It was so hard... please don't knock any of us down.. please don't and then I was down.   Got back out and saw I got a point.  Hmmm... 5 matches 5 points... every single one got at least one knock down.   Came here and and found out that knock down means knocked out. :P

*yawn* Five solo matches, claimed my salvage, back to other things. And no way PS4 community going to make that goal.

Out of curiosity, which platform are you on? Majorly douchey is an accurate summary of this, especially after assuring them you know what you're doing. I joined a perilous pug as a level 1 keeper today, and wasn't kicked even after I got Emissary Alpha'd to death (played a few more games with those guys).

I am on Xbox One.

I understand that people get frustrated, and they probably had a few bad runs with others. People have bad days with even worse luck. I suppose they just would not want to take any chances at this point - on a similar note, I acknowledge that a player of the same skill is still simply less likely to die with Korbin than with Thornton. But maybe we shouldn't take it as serious then either. Alas.

It's much, much easier to be perforated by a shadow as a ranged class. The attack animations are so debilitating.

Something I like doing when I notice an enemy rogue is around, is to drop a Spike Trap and remain standing approximately two steps in front of it, facing exactly the opposite direction.

Since they are bound to attempt to backstab you when not forced out of stealth, it pretty much works every time.

Depends on gear, build, the player's actual skill, and the team vs their selected faction and map. I argue there's more contextual variables at play, and that Korbin's latest WF nerf hurts him a lot  while that latest fade stealth option is really OP.

While I love standing on traps, on Hunter I just shoot them. Leaping shot will kill them, and if not then the follow up attacks will, and if that somehow fails there's still either fallback plan or stealth.

I know exactly where they go though, so it is easy for me to target them in stealth.

I do love standing on traps though. Soooo fun.

Wondered about platform because I had many more unpleasant encounters on 360 in general than I've had since moving to PC. There's the occasional kick when I try to bring a level 1 into perilous, but that's the extent of it (aside from one genuine douche). As you say though, there could have been more at play. I helped a friend do the challenge since they won't be around this weekend, for example, and a certain pug didn't make it easy.

It really is. Mainly because I approve of anything that lets me be as reckless as I like to be. Disruption Field is also nice.

Same. Didn't want to deal with it, so five straight Katari solos. Boring as hell, but figured it helps whittle down the Routine matches challenge anyway. *sigh*

Let's me get back to "Trespasser" faster, too. Wanna finish that up today or tomorrow. Damn day job and responsibilities... LOL. Has made going through it in short spurts a very sad process.

Yeah, we were only at 6,000 or so of 50,000 when I wrapped up around 8pm EST last night. LOL'd so hard. Nooooooooot gonna make it.

Hmmm, let's see what HQ says now at 9am EST... 16,305. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

Because one of my friends was complaining about how much he sucked at Katari, I started with Katari solos, but I switched over the Sara and tried out abilities I didn't use before. I didn't like them that much, as they don't do enough damage. Zipping around as Sara is always a good time though.

Katari truly is a skill class at a high level. Everything flows beautifully going from target to target, leading them to your path of destruction. Ah well.

Oh, don't misread me, Katari is a thing of beauty between skills and cooldowns. It's almost like dancing a ballet of destruction. Was fun the first and second match.

By the third solo, though, I was getting bored with everything dying in basically one blow. Which was a sign to solo higher levels or go join a PUG match to break the tedium (I've never been a big fan of solos, even back in ME3MP), but eh.

No, the general dance of destruction that is the Katari is a wonderful thing. There is a reason why I play him so much. :)

That is your problem.  You are on routine with others.  Most of the people on routine are there for a reason.  They dont have the gear to do higher difficulty and are just learning the game. I ran threatening with random pugs instead and around 60% of the time, no one died.  Sure it took longer than me doing 5 routine runs solo but you are able to get this done in a group.

^^^ Agreed with HelenCarnate. I did some threatening pugs to build up my level 1s and got the challenge done very quickly. It's always seemed like you're way more likely to find people struggling to stay up on lower and higher difficulties.

I expect I haven't done as many challenges as most people on this board, but why are some calling this one a solo challenge? It seems like extra incentive to work together to keep your weaker teammates alive, if anything.

Make finishing Trespasser a priority Dragon *damn life stuff tho know dat feel* it's a godly DLC, so freaking good.  As for this weekend challenge, tedious, 5 routines and done. Back to the SP I go.

Decided to chance it and ran with randoms in Threatening (with level 1s) and Perilous. Honestly made it more fun for me. At least two of those five no death runs had me launching area-heal potions across the map and just barely saving some of the puggers. Demon Commander teleports left them with no health at all.

More fun than I expected, but yeah, there are much less stressful ways of doing it.

Did they change the community goal, or is the official website just REALLY misleading?  "Less than 50,000 agent deaths" is not even close to the same thing as "50,000 agents complete matches without dying," which is what it says in game.

I ended up in quite a few Threatening PUGs where everyone got immortal. It isn't impossible.

Of course I had already solo'd the whole thing so I kinds wasted my time on those 5 routine matches. Oh well. Should probably save the soloing for when the challenge is almost over.

Tried a few threatening to reach the goal simply because soloing is so much more boring. Made 3-4 immortal matches before luck ran out. After a few more tries I went routine, but still no luck. Finally gave up and soloed the last with Pala (last match was darkspawn, and that was really tough for a level 4: practically all my potions were needed).

One more solo routine to go for my salvage.

Also, no way is the community goal getting done on PC, still at second star. Aside from people being off doing Trespasser things, just as last time we did Undying, BioWare underestimate the ability of the playerbase to find creative ways to kick the bucket.

They seem to embrace mortality. It's quite horrifying.

Yea too many new players comes to crash on perilous games, hoping to get carried.

Maybe we should teabag and kick them so they learn not to fk weekend community challenges ...

Should we all go for a final push and solo a bunch of routine missions? it takes about 7-9 minutes to finish a routine match, get through the results screen and start a new mission. If we have ~20 hours we can all contribute ~120 each.

On PC we need 18,000. So if 150 of us play nonstop...
