Indeed. There's zero reason to ever take a 10% additive damage bonus over an evo that offers 20% movement speed and 24m wall hax.The GI gets crazy good mileage out of all the powers ROF and damage boosts, the only one which isn't as valuable as the alternative is HM evo 6. I find evo A a better option as the extra speed and wall hax aids surivivabilty quite significantly, and also allows you to attack clustered groups of enemies easier.

I believe that if you have trouble with his low shields a cyclonic is the solution (call me Captain Obvious), he benefits very well from a cyclonic as he has high (750) base shields.
And you should give the pyranha a try on him, ridiculously easy despite the nerf.

First I tried a build missing out Proximity Mine.
Don't do this, seeing as it is the kit's primary source of stagger other than simply shooting things in the face, and gives you an essentially free 20% multiplicative damage bonus and 1000 ish damage on practically everything you will target due to its AOE and the ability to spam it every 4 seconds.
Took the Widow to a Gold game.
This isn't a bad idea, but if you aren't confident in your unassisted aiming skill it will be underwhelming, and could be the reason you are dying (not killing fast enough which is how you survive as a GI). If you want EZ mode trivializing of everything in the game, play something you don't have to aim like Hurrdurricane, Black Widow, Piranha or Carrier. Using one of the non snipers will also give you more lolfitness (considering that the essential build of maxing HM, Passives and going 4 in cloak and at 5 in Proxy mine is pretty much a must. should you need it because of the 11 points it frees up. Also, use crutchlonics. The HM shield penalty only applies to base shields, so you still get 750+ from a III and 1125+ from a IV on top of whatever your base shields -375 is, meaning that contrary to popular opinion the GI actually isn't squishier than any other infiltrator (indeed, the faster geth shield recharge and movement speed bonus actually makes it much tankier than most of them).
Hunter Mode visuals I can't help you with. I've heard there are some methods to get rid of the overlay but I don't play on lolpeasee and it doesn't bother me anyway so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. If you aren't going to use Hunter Mode on the GI, you may as well play the SI seeing as he gets almost the same passives, cloak and mine debuff. Also, he isn't a bloody toaster, so you needn't kill yourself to get rid of the geth menace.

It only took one time of burning the Q-eggos for the war to begin.

You can skip the 6b Sniper Evolution on TC with every infiltrator and they are still playable with a shotgun like Wraith/Crusader/Claymore
80% damage in Evolution 4 is enough. The rest can spec into fittness.

The OP says they're having trouble staying alive so people recommend 0 fitness/no CM builds?
Yes, it is in fact amusing.
A strong offense is the best defense! After all, everybody here knows that dead/frozen/statis/pull/stagger targets can't shoot back...
How often are you running 0 fitness GI with AM3 on PC? Host only, with friends?
I played the GI all day yesterday, y'know...challenge pts, and when I noticed my depleting stocks of cycIII I decided to try subbing in the shield cell III. I found that they are no substitute whatsoever -- with my play style, anyway. Shield recharge speed helps not at all with those damnable banshee balls eating away your mojo.
Yes, SPC is not nearly as useful on GI as it is on something like the flamerless GTS because that character has higher shields and DR. SPC works best when you are regenerating shields that haven't been gated, since regenerating a pitiful amount of shields that have been gated is essentially worthless.
Indeed. There's zero reason to ever take a 10% additive damage bonus over an evo that offers 20% movement speed and 24m wall hax.

Yes. All the Geth have a nice bonus from Cyclonics because they have high base shields.

No Fitness and No Fitness + AM3 are drastically different. The latter is almost certainly not the hot setup.

RHA > Cloak > PM > Shoot > RC > Shoot. Rinse and repeat.
That's everything I can tell you about how to use the GI.
Oh, and take Speed and Visions ffs.

When I'm using a sniper rifle on my GI, I do prefer to use a SPC on him.
Current build is 65663
I do admit to using some med gels when set up like this however ..

This can be rough vs twitchy foes in tight quarters ala Glacier. Just ran a GPS GI this morning in Marcin's lobby. I could use that GPS tracking help from across the upper lab/room, but the basement & LZ were different stories. I'd go through 5 shots and land 1 or 2. Marcin was likely wondering why the frig he kept hearing shots go off...yet rarely a mention of my GPS in the killfeed.

I agree, I played with the GPS this morning on Goddess on my host and there were several times an enemy was inside the circle when I fired, yet I watched all 3 "bullets" sail past them and hit a wall. Granted, it was usually husks or Marauders, I never missed a Brute, but it happened a couple times even on Banshees, who despite being very tall, aren't very wide. I wouldn't personally use the GPS off-host much, I'd fear the lag too much.

OP: 'I need help with not dying.'

On the one hand I agree with some who might say that the difference in shields between Fitness 0 and Fitness 3 is pretty small, and with a CM3 or CM4 you might very well not know the difference in some situations and appreciate extra PM damage. It is 1125/1500 v 1313/1688 with CM3/CM4 at 0 and 3 fitness respectively.
Either of those is pretty drastically different than 375 shields and a bit of a speed boost from AM3. I am not necessarily questioning if this is within the realm of possibility (especially if you cheat and use BW), but practically speaking this setup does not make a huge amount of sense against a hitscan faction off-host, especially if you aren't playing with friends.
I am happy to concede that I need to learn to play AH0,AM3 sniper if someone wants to go UCG while I play a typical PUG setup and perform around the level of a random player. ![]()

The jitterbug part works.
But I feel more Yakety Sax when I'm 'chasing' a Nemesis 2-3 meters in front of me.

Isn't there a video somewhere floating around where a Nemesis runs away from a Cabal for like 15-20 seconds before the player nukes it? Seems appropriate lol

I would but I'd have to give away the name of the other account.
Edit- can't tell if you were being sarcastic or not but it's nothing fancy, just basic gi strategy, abuse rha while shooting everything before it can shoot you and don't stand around in the open.

The first and foremost OBVIOUS thing would be to learn how to use TacCloak defensively and know about shieldgate. You don't need fitness for that.

i dont really see the point of AM3 no fitness on GI. Sniping build ? Moving so fast is even a liabilty for me when sniping. Maybe with a couple run on condor i could see the point. (RHA on conder ?
). But mostly, u dont need to move so fast with a SR.
shotgun build ? U got 4 free ranks of fitness.
