I have played the Dragon Age games from the first to this one logging more that 1,000 hrs of game time in each of the three games to date. Having just finished the Trespasser content at the end of Inquisitions for the first time, I must say that this is the first time that I personally dislike the ending of a Dragon Age Game. The end leaves no possibility that the Inquisitor can be any part of the next installment, assuming there will be a next installment in the franchise. I tend to get personally wrapped up in the content and characters of this game and to get to the end and find out that the Inquisitor is maimed and that the inquisition was betrayed by Iron Bull, the elves and Solas is extremely unsatisfying. Then to find out that Solas himself is only slightly better than Corrifious in his desire to destroy the existing world in order to undo the damage that he himself did is also very unsatisfying. This ending has left open the possibility that the next installment will be a battle between some new hero and the evil elf god that we now know as Dread Wolf, but, for the one old gamer at least, this ending was not enjoyable at all and thus, I now must decide if I even want to run any of my remaining characters through the Trespasser content.

Who? Corrifious?
I don't really get what's so wrong about the ending. This is the only one so far to give a logical explanation as to why the next installment has to feature a new main character, as the Inquisitior is simply unable to do combat/adventuring to an extent as before anymore.
Do you prefer "he/she disappeared" we got before?
Never seeing an old hero again is certainly a fate worse than having one still around later doing important stuff.

Ok, Rhidor, I get it, you liked the ending and sorry for the terrible spelling of the Dark Spawns name, I should've looked it up. I dislike the betrayals of the previous allies is my main reason for disliking the ending, but, that is simply my personal view, to each his/her own. I also don"t see much of a difference between a darkspawn majister wanting to destroy the world for personal gain and an anciant elvan god wanting to destroy the world for personal gain so am really unsure what direction the next installment will take given this limited scenerio.

If you dislike Iron Bull betraying you so much, then use another character in which Iron Bull became Tal-Vashoth with the Chargers. Seriously, why would you be surprised that Iron Bull betrayed you when you chose him to owe his allegiance to the Qun?

Ok people, I didn't mean to start an arguement or to ruffle anyones feathers, just posted my personal opinion on the matter, guess I'm in the minority here. A personal note to the spelling/grammer champion up there: KISS OFF!

It's just that your rant up there isn't very well worded; You criticize the ending becaue characters acted in a certain way. None of them were out-of-character though, so I don't know what you're aiming at. This does make it seem like complaining because you simply didn't get what you wanted. And normally a story isn't exactly wish-fulfillment.
There is a huge difference between Corrifious (had to use that one) and Solas, alone from the viewpoint of how well you knew the latter. In comparison, the ancient magister looks like a joke; a mage who stumbled upon magic he couldn't control, with the Inquisitor stopping all and every plan of him. Solas, however, tricked us. And that was great to see.
