Wonder why then they including video in bink format showing xbox controller buttons on screen on the advance trainning in the pc version.
The video with the xbox buttons are not shown in the ingame, you have watch it trough bink player under the movies folder of the ME2 installation.

if u wanna get technical.... yes the code for the xbox360 controller is in there ini files along with the code to show buttons pics like in the viedo u mention. why controller support is disabled is beyond me. but any modification of these .ini file just causes the game to crash. even if you don't modify anything and press save it will still crash.... seems like these files are completely un-editable.
maybe its left-over coding from porting it over from the xbox360?
idk im not familiar with how they build games for multi-platforms.

Would really like this myself, since a lot of the interface seems built for controllers and is actually a bit more tedious to work with the mouse - like having to select an element and then click the confirmation button down in the corner, instead of just being able to double click or something.
The shooting and such is okay with mouse if you fix the acceleration and adjust the sensitivity if needed, but there's still the occasional quirk which makes me want to plug in the controller.

For the life of me I can't see why anyone would want to play the PC version with a controller. The interface has been reworked just like the first one on PC. There is no command ring anymore, so one of the sticks would need to be mouse emulation, and that would cause a few minor problems. I'm sure if you're used to playing games via xpladder or joystiq emulation this wouldn't be an issue for you, but aside from keymapping introducing controller support into the game would be kind of pointless. /end2cents

Obviously, if I were to use a controller I'd want proper integration. I have xpadder, but won't use it for the reasons you stated.
I just find mouse control to be a bit of a hassle right now, and would rather kick back and relax with proper gamepad controls than this.
