Don't dorian and cole leave if they hit -30? And doesn't allying with the templars or conscripting the mages give them -15? Would they then just immediately leave?
Fair weather friends achievement question.

I'm curious about this as well, if anyone knows for sure. Does fair-weather friends require you to make a particular choice for In Hushed Whispers or Champions of the Just in order to keep both Cole and Dorian?

About to find out I suppose. Gonna go do Champions of the Just and ally with the templars then see if I can salvage Cole's approval.
I THINK he get's +20 when you recruit him which would bring him above his crisis point. dorian is gonna not like me though. I think mages can get some approval from the inquisition joining thing.

You can get +20 from Dorian just from saying "Corypheus must be stopped."

I'm really not a big fan of this achievement. An entire playthrough in which I'm not allowed to roleplay? Not sure I'm going to bother tbh.
But the gamerscoooore maan.
The completionist in you compels you! You cannot simply deny it!

After recruiting Dorian a wartable mission will be available that gives approval, this wartable mission also starts the "One Less Venatori" quest which gives a lot of approval aswell. I think doing these things before speaking to Dorian in the library would ensure that he will not leave when you speak to him? The same goes for Cole i suppose (If you do Champions of the Just you should be able to finish some quests in the Hinterlands to up his approval above the -30 treshhold before returning to Haven or Skyhold (I do not know if it is possible for Cole to leave before Skyhold).

And if you do In Hushed Whispers if I'm remembering right Cole only leaves when you zone IN skyhold. You can leave and go complete a bunch of quests.
