I thought Sera was a city elf so why can't she wear the elven rogue armour?

I love the golden nug, my elf characters can now wear elven armour from the beginning in Haven :)  Created a elven mage and elven rogue and am having fun playing with them in armour that was meant for them.

I was going to have Solas and Sera as my main group and thought all 3 would be in elven gear but Sera refuses to wear it :(

Sera has a different character model than other female elves- she's taller and not nearly as narrow. This means she can wear human trained armors, unlike Solas, but she can't wear elfy stuff. Which is really fitting, considering.

The gear isn't just elf armor, it's elf trained. Sera was trained by humans. Well maybe not "trained" exactly but she's been around humans more then elves.

There are four restrictions on gear.

1. Level. Most items have a level requirement.

2. Class. Warriors can't use staves and so on.

3. Training. Character can only use gear they are comfortable with. An elven inquisitor grew up among the dalsih, so using dalish designed armour is easy but using human designed armour less so. They are considered Elf Trained" and are unable to wear certain human and dwarven gear. Sera may be an elf, but she grew up in human society and rejects all things elven. As such, she is "Human Trained".

4. Race. Qunari are the only race capable of wearing Vitaar and helmets won't fit their giant horned heads. Unlike with training this is biological, not a matter of what they have learned.
