You know we want maps.
Help us help you.
You make them or clip sp zones..... we buy them its easy.
You sell a whole dlc that must be hard work for $14.99
I would pay that easy for even 1 mp map
Just saying............

Just guessing, of course; maybe small player base = smaller possible buyer base = now split small player base feels even smaller? Yes, small is losing meaning now.
If they made them cheap enough they wouldn't split the player base. They did it with games like Mario Kart, and even gave people a discount if they had bought the previous packages. I'd buy maps and modes for DA:I just to support more development out of the team, plus they wouldn't have to close up shop for the year or two between now and DA4 like they did with ME3MPs updates.

Did not stop single player dlc ..... maps are nothing next to that
Also one would think more maps would fuel a larger player base to exist
If they made it so the new maps could only be hosted by people who have bought them, but if someone has not they can still join a game with it then it wouldn't split the player base. Though people might be less inclined to buy them because they can still get access albeit limited. Still, I agree that anything that can split the player base should be avoided.
Just about every 1 would buy them even if they say they won't
No way in hell would I buy a map for $15
Yea i guess not all players have extra cash.
How about maps that could be bought with a large sum of gold or a smaller sum of platinum?
This way every 1 could get maps but those with extra cash could get them faster if they wish
Idk maybe 2150 platinum or less whatever or 750,000 gold or less whatever bw would decide
In this way maps are free however you could spend that platinum like with boxes its win win
Community splitting DLC is possibly more cancerous than pay to win.

This would also get the player base to be more active and give a push to that 10m gold challenge
What are you going to spend all that gold on?............. boxes?

Pay to win????
Win what??????
Players over paying.... aka platinum would cover the cash lost buy players who spend gold.
Its not hard to see this idea is solid and i hope the right eyes cross this thread.
The bottom line here is if we want maps bioware MUST make a profit it is the only way this could happen
It's a company and it can't just keep everything free.
If they do that, they can forget me, and a lot of players, as their future customers.
I'm NEVER gonna be brain dead enough to pay 15$ (25% of the full retail game price) for 1 measly map. I'd feel like a Call of Duty player and that's very dirty, not in the good sense...
Instead of selling Platinum at an insane price to get their money from the whales (those that spends hundreds of $$$ on Platinum), they could also ask for a real reasonable price for a lot of things. I would have put 50$ right at the start of DAMP just to get a head start if the store system was anything but the worst kind of RNG possible. I'm not the only one who felt this way, I can count a lot of friends that were ready to spend a tidy sum if DAMP store would have been equal or slightly better than ME3. Even with that 50$ head start, I still would have played 1000+ hours and you know what? I would have probably spent even more since the price for new shiny things were low enough to be an afterthought.

Ok i never said they should charge any exact amount i only said that i would pay 14.99
But anything for a troll right?
The fact is some would spend it and others may not. So what spend game gold if such an option would exist.
The players that like the game would buy it and tight wads that think 10 or 15 bucks is a small fortune obviously would not.
That is exactly why the option to buy with gold was added into the idea

Actually, casino slot machine rng + fake in game currency is more cancerous than anything you mention.
And another thing ..... i am so tired of hearing about me3

C.O.D. made alot of money off maps.... why on earth would bioware want to do that?
COD also has a fanbase large enough for Activision to afford to go down the path of selling maps to those willing.

True
$10-15 for 5 UNIQUE maps sounds reasonable.
It would be hard to even guess a fair price while not knowing the cost to produce maps

Superior is superior
(I mean "superiour" for our British forum goers)
