Oh, nothing wrong with charging a banshee whilst she is fisting one of the decoys. She's too busy and doesn't have enough hands to grab you, too.

Oh I charge whenever my cooldown is up.  But I normally play a krogan and that is his only active power.  When the leader of the lobby upped a game too gold without any warning and I was far too unobservant to notice I suddenly started getting sync-killed on almost every charge.  I stopped after the 4th death as it no longer felt like a fluke. After the match I was like oh we are on gold, that explains why I died 10x more often.

My mistake - Staying too long in silver settles very bad habits that has to be unlearned anyway.

Just imagine the boredom if only gold or plat worthy joined a match.

... PUG's : equip, don't equip, circle around and wrinkle your toes. Shoot GSTQ graffiti with ur venom while a DAWG stresses about 'objectives'. Do as u please. A true BSN dawg,by now, can take anything without a groan.
... DAWG's : have fun with ur PUG's - stomp them , support them, eggface over their sync'ed bodies - what else is left?

 

Well I'd like to think if you die too often on gold you'd figure out you need some practice. And you can research things a bit.   I've been watching the transition to gold video(which has helped my silver game as I try to get down things like soft cover, right hand advantage etc.)  The whole 3 second target lock thing blew my mind, and I get shot a lot less often now.  Still not sure how to handle those hacking missions where you are out in the open with like enough cover for one person to use. I watched the how to beat the various boss vidoes so now I know what glowing banshee means vs non glowing.  I'm still WTF about phantoms without stasis, they kill me far more often than banshees or other boss units and phantoms aren't even boss units.  But I try to get my basic skills down in bronze and silver, and before trying gold I'm researching it.  Co-op shouldn't mean other people carry you.

And I also found someone who had their mic on.

But had it on so loud most of what you could hear was static.

Then my Quarian took a missile to the face which didn't kill her but killed the Batarian Soldier next to her and then all of a sudden the guy shouted, "DON'T ****** STAND NEXT TO ME" down the mic like ear-hurtingly loud because of the insane volume he had.

I then stood next to him the entire game and managed to take him down 3 times with Atlas missiles just by standing next to him.

I made quite a point of just doing a little dance over his body instead of reviving him then letting him bleed out.

Which caused more far too loud swearing.

But y'know if someone has their mic that loud they're just WAITING for me to do something like that.

It was on Jade though so no reactor. :/

Nah pUUGs are fine 99% of time, at least on PC.  Also noone ever uses the mic on PC

i've found this to be true, except for russians. i only do u/u/g or u/u/p and i'd say about half my games contain 1 or 2 ruskies, often with mics (you can still tell they're ruskies if they don't have mics, because they all have names like xxxxx_rus). although recently i just mute the game and listen to music, so it's moot.

Let me preface this by saying, I have been in some really good PUG lobbies lately. However, last night took the cake as the worst I've been in. The only reason I stayed in was because of three DC trying to get in gold lobby. I was looking forward to playing BatSlash, however I had to change to Sexbot because I knew what was coming. Plus, I had just played 3 gold/plats with Grunt and LordofWar, so I had no problems putting on big boy undies. And preset of glacier/toasters
First the setups:
Host: 115 N7 TSOL with NightMan's favorite a Shuriken V no mods/equip/gear
2: 4k CP Valkyrie, Lancer II, geared up but SE II made no sense.
3: 117 N7 Shadow with Crusader I and Mantis X, no gear/equip. Wonder what the cool down was on that setup.
Host never readied up so I knew would drop once got through Wave 1, and it happened. Pretty sure shadow got skulled every wave. Whole team drops like flies very wave. Demolisher replaced host (sucked) at least I got to steal grenades from pylon
. By wave 4 could tell others were already out of medis. I got to solo waves 5,7,8,9. Actually, went pretty smooth. Wave 10 escort to back corner room, all 3 go down, **** this I'm getting credits and I soloed the escort, immediately went down after, refused to use remaining gels. 121k for me 40k for 2nd, 28k for Demolisher, and a whopping 15k for 2 ton weight carrying Shadow. It was actually fun at least

If I hadn't just finished suckling hind t** behind Gruntkitterhand and LordofWar, I would've got out, plus the 3 DCs searching. So I felt froggy to see how it would go, but under normal circumstances it would have been immediate exit

I got isolated a couple of times, especially early on, and also blindly ran away from Phantoms once or twice. Per wave. You seemed completely unflustered by comparison. Stick that in your big boy undies! 

 

In all seriousness though, in the context of this thread, it's games like the one you describe that tend to stay with you longest, and make for the best war stories. I'm not saying that playing with friends isn't great, because it is, but it's possible to have two different types of great experience. Sometimes the pugs are unbearable, it's true. But only very rarely. Most of the time there will be some possibility of glory being snatched from the jaws of defeat. And often the opposite.

I believe I mentioned in another thread the glory of arriving and saving an escort from certain defeat. It really is a great moment when you save a game from a loss and pull together to finish it as a team.

Why thank you kind sir. If friendly fire did damage in this game, you would have gotten a 50 headshot medal on me for all the times I ran in front of your QMI BW. The game went well. I did have to LMFAO when I got double stabbed by the 2 phantoms.

I was telling you guys the funniest thing I have probably seen this year...was the other night in my lobby...a level 10 Volus adept with a Spitfire 1 & Javelin 1     ...he could not walk...and could only shield boost once per wave

 

I do feel your pain Al... as of late when I lobby surf...they all look like painful carry's...which I don't feel like doing any more...Then after searching for about 30 minutes..I just want to play..so the next lobby..I go into Cartman's :Whateva" mode...

..Plus I am seeing alot of preset's lately..thats kind of annoying

 

The other night when I posted here about having to score right at 200k just to get the team thru...I was legit angry..I used to love top-scoring by stupid margins....now they just make me mad...

The only differences between the ****show last night and my meltdown last week were 1: level of intoxication 2: good mood after 3 quick gold/plats with Grunt 3: tired of searching lobbies.
So I said what the hell and went for it. I was not disappointed by what followed. Believe me I would much rather come in 3rd/4th and have smooth games than 1st by 3x score in that torture porn game. I guess I was just curious, but that **** won't happen too may more times

2 Hours into my drunken madness run for 2night....So far..nothing to report....somebody I dont like named something..waffle dropped into my game....LOL nope...take my lobby..enjoy those 2 N7 200's.....3 Gold games..all went smooth..I think I have fallen in love with the T-Sol Marksman Blood Pack Punisher...just did a match on White vs Collectors..It was amazing..for those of you who enjoy the Hurricane T-Sol..I suggest you give the BPP a shot on him...It almost returns the Blood Pack Punisher to it's single player campaign glory....which I do really miss.
