I noticed now that this Axe is probably bugged

i mean it's the only weapon with a lot of basic slots that has upgrades too!

With pommel and haft it becomes really OP

It's probably the only reason critical strike builds are optimal for warriors, since it's the only weapon that really allows you that luxury.

yes this is really good for reavers but at beginning i didn't realize that it's the only weapon that can have upgrades too

Greatsword Hakkon's valor has the same numbers (different materials) and can't build upgrades

The new chromatic greatsword is better than the dragon hunter axe even with its bugged upgrade slots.

better depends...it's not all about damage.

Axe of the dragon hunter gives huge critical chance that's very good for reaver 2H

chromatic gives 24 crit chance, 27 if you mastercraft it, 5% crit for the haunted chatue, 5 from varric and 5 you start with. Just with this you already at 42% crit chance, with a bit of crafting or wearing the duchess helm voila you easily above 50% crit chance. More than enough for a warrior.

Finally chromatic special effect essentially means doubling your damage, so im sorry dragon hunter even with its bugged upgrades loses this battle. Still if you do not have the chromatic greatsword then yes dragon hunter is the best.
