The original game lacked a proper ending. The last DLC should have been in the original game or at least be free for buyers of the game and not being sold for 15 Euros. Sucks in my opinion. I feel ripped of considering I paid 70 Euro for my digital deluxe edition on Origin.
So why do we have to PAY for an ending of a game?

I thought the DLC was worth it.
And it was not really the ending of Inquisition - Inquisition was about the Breach etc., not specifically about Solas or Qunari. I guess I see Trespasser more as some sort of prologue to the next Dragon Age, setting that storyline up, rather than it being an ending/epilogue to Inquisition

It is still a DLC, just happens to take place after the main quest line.
I thought it was very much worth the cost. This is an epilogue to the main story. Would prefer DLC that adds to the story than a random side quest.
Of course people who don't wish to pay for it can always catch up on youtube and when DA4 comes around add the choices you think your character would have made in the keep. Good to have choices.
BioWare - more DLC of this quality please.

The original game had a proper ending, the DLC shows what happens next. You aren't entitled to the ENTIRE story. That's like complaining that ME2/3 aren't free since you already bought ME1. Weak argument is weak, I wish we could be rid of all these entitled gamers. It's starting to get old.

Complaining complaining complaining......if BW release a DLC where there is no real advancement to the plot...then people complain about it being pointless...if BW does a DLC that matters and advance the plot then people complain because they have to buy it.
In any case someone will be upset but I would much rather BW releases DLCs with actual plot advancement. As the paying customers should be the ones that matter. If you like the game then you will find no problem in adding 15 bucks on the top of it. As for DA:I core game, it is a complete game with a complete ending.
I like BW created a meaningful DLC this time around.

Well it's probably not the same set of people complaining. Probably.
I know I'm a fan of DLC in general as it means continuing my adventures in a game without having to wait another 3-5 years for the next installment.
So given the choice between playing this part of the story now with this stories main character or in 3 years with a new character, I'll pick now thanks.

After having played Trespasser, I hope Epilogue DLCs become standard Bioware policy. As long as they are of the same level as this or Citadel, I'll buy it all day long.
So much this. And clever signature. ![]()

Just speaking the truth. I'm still mad dammit. I'll take Paid endings that have been crafted from 8 months of Feedback over THAT, all day every day.

Actually the original game DID have an ending. We defeated Corypheus and closed the breach for good. That was the ENDING to the main games story.
This thread reminds me of that other one, where the person didn't realize that each DLC had a story arc to them.

That would be nice. Not necessarily have them done the way of Trespasser, where they set up a future enemy, but just a send of for the companions and the character.

Right, just an Epilogue in general. This should be become standard. For all their future games.

Laidlaw said it was an experiment that they wanted to try out. By all means I think it was a success. Trespasser is probably the best DLC they've done period. I think they see the positive fan reception, and will likely do it again.

Or just wait for it to go on sale. Jaws of Hakkon was marked down for me so I went ahead and bought it for when I finally get around to playing Inquisition again XD.

Er,,, What?
You are entitled to a complete product with a complete story within it if you buy it. You don't buy a book and expect to put £15 down for the last 20 pages, which is more akin to the example he's making.
I don't *agree* with him, but putting stupid statements like yours out just makes you look like a rabid fanboy and only serves to create more mindless people like him. =/

You act as if the game didn't have an ending when it did, and an epilogue sequence. This was merely a playable epilogue that retreaded some of the content from the vanilla epilogue and added new things that will setup the new game. The inquisition vanilla experience is a beginning, middle and end. The OP is acting as if they cut out the ending and then sold it separately and that is disingenuous at best. Also, you obviously haven't been around here for long if you consider me to be a Bioware fanboy.

That's a terrible example.
This isn't buying a book and then later having to pay again for the last twenty pages. This is buying a book and then later the author releases a short story, novella or light novel that carries on after then end.
Inquisition had an ending. Don't you remember? There was a scary bit with a dragon? Really tall dude put on a red light show, some other ****** put on a green light show? Events Transpired.

I don't know about the best ever. I'm still biased towards Lair of the Shadow Broker. For me it's tied at Second with Citadel. But yes, I would say the experiment was a success.
