I play SP not MP or PW. Does my fighter need Concentration? Could I put the skill point into Lore instead? I hate paying 100gp to id a item only to find out it is only worth 49gp.

In most cases, no, you won't need Concentration. The only reason to take it would be for modules that have enemies who will Taunt you to lower your AC. However, very few SP modules have enemies that do so.

Concentration is also good for casters who cast in close range so that they don't get interrupted. As a fighter who is not casting spells, you most likely do not need concentration. Lore is a very good idea. Or get a few potions of lore and save all your unidentified items to examine at one time.
