It really depends on Patrick if he'll follow the legacy notes or if he does hos own thing.

You mean Mike and Mark, it is the lead designer and game director that have the last say on the game story not the lead writer (which is a manager role). That doesn't mean the writers can't submit ideas though.

Ultimately we don't know 100% for sure that Flemeth let Solas take her life/soul/power/mojo. Nor do we know what, if anything, she put through the eluvian before he shows up.

Even if these things seem likely, I feel like it is important to remember it's interpretation/speculation.

It's not really speculation, though.  Unless Flemeth suddenly became stupid, she knew what was going to happen.  I suppose it is possible that she only sent a message through the eluvian, but I kind of feel like that part of the developer notes is actually canon.  Then again, there was an entire Fade sequence in the developer notes in which the Inquisitor went into the fade with all nine companions.

I think Morrigan will be key in stopping Solas from tearing down the Veil.

As Flemeth saved The Warden and Hawke, Morrigan might find "The _____" who stops Solas in DA4 and my guess is we'll find out just how more "aware" she is now that she has the voice of Mythal going around in her brain.  My guess is she'll know she needs to play the chessboard behind the scenes rather than confront Solas directly or risk having her powers ripped away from her like her mother.

Flemeth has died. Solas killed her to take Mythal's power.

Mythal's fragment is still around however. In Val Royeaux she is said to be giving an elf nightmares.

I have a crazy theory that Flemeth time travels, which would explain her appearances in upcoming games.  There's a decent amount of support for time travel in the DA universe, so while I don't expect it to happen, it is possible.  If you don't know what I mean, look at some of the Descent codex entries that you get at the end, like Titans and The Guardian, as well as the mysterious Hard in Hightown found in the ancient library in Trespasser.  Hard evidence?  Hardly.  Very much a bounding leap in logic.  Doesn't make any sense at all.  But I'll be terribly happy if it happens.

Man TBH at this point I would like nothing more than Flemeth showing up sometime in the future games and curb stomp Solas or at least beat some sense into him.

Too bad she was the one that gave him the power up.

I don't trust mythal at all I bet she is playing everyone like a fiddle even solas

I think that Mythal/Flemeth may not be so nice and possibly is linked to Solas or possessing him.  If you look at his new armor in Trespasser, he's got a dragon tooth hanging from the back of his belt.

At Skyhold, he wore a wolf jawbone around his neck.

Is the dragon tooth a clue about Mythal?  Why is he wearing it at his back like that?

Considering Solas luuuurves Mythal so much, I can't really believe he's done anything that would hurt her. That's the one line of reasoning I'm clinging to. All else (exactly what he did to her... whether Flemeth and Mythal are one and the same... what Flemythal sent through the Eluvian) is up for grabs, as far as I'm concerned.

In trespasser he say that eternity of torment is fitting punishment for killing Mythal. And looks happy without slight hint of guilt.

Flemeth let Solas take some of her power, but she sent something over that Eluvian before he showed up. We know she can "recreate" herself out of a little piece of her soul, but it is also possible the next avatar might be someone else than Flemeth, I mean she says herself that someone doesn't need to be in only one place.

I think Flemythal and Solas's goal are currently going in the same direction, but they aren't totally aligned. Flemythal's action are those of someone who is interested in protecting the world from the stupid people living in it, I doubt she did all that (protecting dragons, stopping the blight, etc) just to have Solas destroy it all. She also told him "I'm sorry", so I think she is playing a gambit right now.

Surprising how few of us seemingly picked up on this idea!

I'm guessing like Solas and his orb, Mythal and her power aren't totally connected either. So what we saw at the end of the game was probably Solas killing Flemeth and taking the power she and Mythal gathered over time, and the fragment of Mythal left/escaped through the Eluvian just when he arrived.

If you look at two lines from her:

"She was betrayed as I was betrayed as the world was betrayed."

"A reckoning that will shake the very heavens!"

This is a woman/elven "God" that is not going to let Solas just absorb her and go quietly into the night.

It sounds like the spirit of Mythal is onboard with what Solas seems to be doing because it seems Flemeth knows about his plan to tear down the veil although the "-as the world was betrayed" might mean Mythal intends to punish Solas for what the veil did to the old world.  He may know this hence why he believes he is walking down the path that only leads to death.

I'll second this. Morrigan now has the ability to become a dragon as well. Hoping to see her again, and I really like the dragon shape-shifting.

Mythal was betrayed by Elven fake Gods. At least that is what I thought. So her issue should be with them not us. I fell to see why she would want them to return.

To get her revenge.

Flemeth, when you summon her at Mythal's Altar (or in the Fade if you have Kieran): "Mythal clawed and crawled her way through the ages to me and I will see her avenged!"

According to Solas, Mythal cared for the world and it's people so even if she understood and appreciated Solas' motivation, she may still feel he is due punishment for what he directly and indirectly caused.

Solas also imprisoned the Evanuris because he thought it was the only punishment that could match the crime. Mythal may want a more final punishment for them for what they did to her if she knows how to subvert the difficulties in killing them.

You do make a good point: Flemeth seems to have no problem with the modern people or it's people so Mythal might likely share that sentiment and so not be so onboard with the consequences of tearing down the veil.
