I usually run with Fade Cloak, Stone First, PoTA and Chain Lightning. All upgraded. Don't have the new staff, but got the Hakkon.

I'd say you should do fine with what you have going atm.I use similar builds which are very effective.

 

I've been playing around with FS instead of FC,I know some people don't like it,but I'm seeing it as a pretty good "nope the f*ck out",if you find yourself in a bad situation.

CL/FC/SF/PotA for team-oriented play.

 

Switch PotA for Spirit Blade when you're spawn blocking (so you can deal with lightning-resistant enemies in a timely manner on your own). I recommend the new Storm belt for the AW combined with Hakkon/Heart of Pride. Your AW will start to actually do damage this way, just be prepared to chug a Rock Armor tonic when you need to revive someone while surrounded by enemies.

Frost step is awesome on AW. I couple it with FC to give myself more manuverablity and options. I also upgrade chain lightning and equip hakkon staff and belt of storm pact for total god mode.

It's a solid build. I switch between this, and since the recent changes to Spirit Blade it's fun again so alternate with CL/Fade Step/Stone Fist/Spirit Blade : Fist, CL, dash into the pack, finish with massive sword hit.

Damn. The Superb Storm Pact belt has brought the fun back to  the AW! 

 

Tried out Fade Step / Stonefist / Chain Lightning / Spirit Blade - and what a fun build that is! I've never been too fond of the more passive builds where you stand in the back and spam PoTA, so this build was great for me!

I find upgraded frost step is more helpful than what people give it credit for, 0 mana cost (essentially free barrier) can hit multiple targets based on your aim to give full barrier, great at closing gaps/catching teleporting enemies.

Idk advantage of fade step is it's free...advantage if fade cloak is that it will get you back on your feet and you can cast damage spell for barrier. Very important for HB . so I think fade cloak has the edge. With combat clarity mana is not an issue really.

Fade step is nice until you get knocked down by a terror in zone 1 of FC. And then another one. And then another one. And another. Fade cloak all the way.

Oh, I'm not saying don't take fade cloak. I prefer using both with CL and SF.

Never tried that actually. I really like the combination on my Necro, so i might give it a try. Then again, the new SB is also great. So many choices.

I hardly ever use spirit sword now... Only when enemies get close and I'll have a full charge to insta kill them with one sword swing.
