Make it like DA2 with a little more variation in environments and I'll be satisfied:
-Fast-paced over-the-top combat
-Quest log and codex actually pleasurable and useful to read and in good font
-All bisexual LIs
-Friendship/Rivalry
-Personal connections for the protagonist
-Bold soundtrack
-Heavy-handed politics
-Pretty hair
-Decent menu
-Full party included in camera shots (aka no more static long-winded lazy "conversations" via isometric over-the-shoulder in the style of DAI)
-Solve or balance inventory issues before launch
-Tons of sexual banter
-Interior settings, city living
-Female leaders/leaders-in-training (DAI's were under-utilized at best. Albeit understandably the upcoming Tevinter's Chantry hierarchy leans male.)
-Mages and magisters not taking a backseat to Chantry bs (DAI's incompetent dowdy runaway mages did not live up to the promise established by their betters in DA2)
-Non-Fereldan atmosphere...that's almost guaranteed this time yet it still needs saying
-Torchwood cast member(s)
-Flemeth! Isabela!
-Qunari criticisms of human dysfunctions
-Addressing slavery
-Human/qunari/dwarf/elf-style opponents instead of darkspawn
-More demons/spirits who chatter, but let there be a point to having them chatter
-Real Grey Wardens like Anders, Stroud and Clarel. No more boring ones like Blackwall if they're going to hang around
-No more half-baked crafting and if it means no crafting at all then so be it
-Black Emporium available at launch
-Emphasis on campaign. Get rid of grinding.
-Companions who proactively opine or even take independent action loudly and often. Or maybe subtly like Kreia yet apparent to gamers.
-Protagonist with actual personality, plus capacity for extreme selflessness and or extreme selfishness and room to follow through on preferences
-Actual main story dominating or at least heavily-coloring the proceedings unlike DAI's scattered lip service mess
Also: ffs restore mage heals and buff up its usefulness! Active rogue heals would be fine too via contraptions.
New stuff:
-Cisgender male human bisexual warrior LI
-Trans party member(s)
-Differently abled party member(s)
-Pet housecat/spirit/demon for the protagonist. Maybe even more than one. A constant non-combat utility familiar? Home-base administrator/butler? Pretty sure golems are a frequent sight in Tevinter. Creatures who snipe and plot against each other, yet tolerated under the protagonist's roof because somebody's a pet-lover. Or slave-lover. These could be more memorable and personally useful than the lieutenants who were foisted upon us in DAI and who made the cast bloated thereby preventing adequate development for all.
-East Asian characters with involvement and story, not just blink-and-you'll-miss cameos...also accessories and architecture wouldn't hurt
-LGBT heads of state or faction chiefs. Canon, unlike Leliana who is only a potential White Divine and only potentially in a F/F relationship. Must have some redeemable qualities and significant presence in the campaign. Celene, Branka and various others who existed only in the codex did not satisfy such criteria. Will accept Dorian for this, will also be pleased if there's more than one. Even better if we experience factions or nations with members and citizens that go farther than the LGBT-friendliness of Orlais by being predominantly LGBT or even gender-queer.
-Portable vendor and Mirabelle (crossover?)
-No more cursed trash loot
-If there must be bards, then let's see and hear some males make an impression. I can do without anymore artless breathy wailing.
-Tevinter's neighbors throughout Northern Thedas. Will accept Val Royeaux and Kirkwall too. No more Fereldan.
-Protagonist can be part spirit or demon. Much like Anders. Not like Cole. Not necessarily at the start, could be more like KOTOR. Have it be identity with emotional story resonance for the campaign instead of just some arbitrary repetitive plot mechanic a la the Anchor.
