Ohh, in an ideal world I would also love for the PC to have a family again.

Hawke, Brosca, Tabris, Aeducan, Cousland, etc. all had families with real history and baggage that made it easy to flesh them out and really understand their (possible) motivations as characters. That's something I dearly missed in Inquisition.

The option to truly play as a power hungry and/or evil character. You see this in older Bioware games, it needs to come back.

Long hair.

3480-1-1370778711.png

Definitely...all those styles should be added.

As far as other wishes:

When my character is riding along on a mount, let whatever companions I am with auto be on mounts of their own so we are still traveling as a group, party banter included while riding along

More romance quests/cutscenes and just general with your LI

Loved the addition of different outfits at the home base, make that part of the game from the begining.

If the next game has a base like Skyhold and improvements are there, instead of an instantly built upgrade, show NPC's going around and building the upgrades with the player being able to see the stones/wood being placed if you wanted.

The ability to design a look for your armor with some pre-sets stuff.  Think of the old cut out paper dolls and the mix & matching of outfits is the best way I can think to describe it.  But let there be lots of choices...not just 3 or 4

Mabari pets!  Yes...I want one if even my cuddly bundle of vicious feroricity is just a tag along and not part of the party..gimme my puppy   :P

I am sure I will think of more later   :D

Body costumization.

It is nice to costumize a face, but I want to change body of my character too. For example how tall he/she is, width of shoulders, hips, ... how fat he/she is. just adjust how big or long some parts of his/her body are. and body tattoo.

of course better hair, more options, mainly longer hair.

  • Cosmetic updates: Hair should be better (long, less shaved styles), Better facial tattoos for non Dalish elves, perhaps (if its possible) different body shapes?

  • Animal Companion: I'm not saying Mabari but perhaps something to replace Mabari even if its just at our home base or a summon like Hawke.(Personally I didn't miss the mabari to much but its a nice addition)

  • Origin Stories: This was one of the best features in Origins, a return to these would be nice, but can we get away from human noble please? Return the City elf and maybe give us a powerful mage (noble mage) instead of some mage who's just been locked up be a nice change of pace.

  • Companions/LI: A return to Origins styles where you could stop and talk to them anywhere, Be less one sided have the companions do something more for the hero (this was done nicely in Trespasser it was about what companions could do for you instead of the other way round) Also I liked the idea of race gated romances and please never ever return to making everyone Bisexual, also dwarf romance please!

  • Keep from DAI: The Schematics, the ability to join in on certain party banter, the roof top moment like Seras (as friends), The Black Emporium, Wardrobe, Golden Nug, Tinting, the ability to change our appearance after the start, decoration of home base, Dragon fights, potions, grenades, mounts.

  • Combat: Dual wield (swords or axe sword) for warriors please.

  • Choices: Have them impact the story sooner rather then later, most choices don't really seem to matter and are only felt after the story has taken place!

  • Specialization trees: like in DA2 or DAI multiplayer (not played MP but i like the look of the trees) for companions would be nice, its just gives them something unique that DAO and DAI did not have! Also I would like to see (if possible) the effects your chosen specialization has on you, if your a blood mage or a reaver your body has to be under great stress. If a templar you addiction could start to show etc.

  • Sandal, Dagna ran off with Sera so give us an enchantment expert please. Also could tie into story!

Friendship/Rivalry - I don't wanomet to adjust to my companions and pick "right" dialogue options to receive all teh content. Sometimes it kills the whole roleplaying thing. I want to argue with them w/out them leaving my party and influence their decisions, just like with Merrill to stop her bloodmagic and destroy the eluvian. But maybe with other mechanics

Fenris - Just to see his face when he learns we fight MAGE, who has fought to FREE SLAVES and wants to destroy the world so that elves will live happily ever after

Background - maybe not like in Origin but at least smth so we have some emotional tight. I felt nothing for people died in Haven, but if some of my friends or relatives from me background did die there I would have been very angry with Cory

Inquisitor as main character - I would appreciate new protagonist, but this is personal between Solas and Inquisitor (very personal for romanced Lavellan)

Healers - healers are necessary!!

And ofc, epic battle of HoF, Hawke and Inquisitor together against all the evil in the world

Character Creation: On the whole DA:I was pretty good for that but the hair was an obvious flaw especially for the Qunari, like I didn't expect long hair but I expected plats and shaved sides/shoulder length kinda stuff at least. I'm not saying long hair is a must but it really needed to be better. If you are going to do unisex hair then do unisex hair, don't make a load of weird balding hairstyles and make them available to females. Also we don't need six types of short afro.

Also I really felt like the background didn't mean much at all in most cases, sure in some it did like if you romance Solas as a female Dalish elf but for the most part the character still feels like some random with little connection to the world around them. Origins and DA2 did not have this,  Hawke and The Warden felt connected to the world around them.

Please keep race selection. xx

The World: I am not anti open world/large areas ect but please only have as much world in the game as you have content to fill it with. Some of the areas in DA:I just felt empty or worse, filled with mundane quests. The areas were for the most part beautiful and well designed in DA:I but some of them suffered from a lack of relevance. I feel like they either should have had some relevance to the main plot or contained some major/meaningful side quests.

I'm not fond of the Witcher 3 vs DA thing but that game managed to deliver us a huge world filled with meaningful content, there were even a satisfactory amount of cut scenes. That said i am aware that other factors like having a specific set protag play into this kind of thing.

Quests: This game suffered in this area, especially when it came to side quests, most of them were terrible, there is no way around that, meaningless mmo style fetch quests. I also felt that choice didn't matter that much. Even the brilliant idea of completely different quest lines based on whether you went to the mages or templars for help ultimately ended up not having that much of a meaningful affect on the story. The Halamshiral quest, whilst being a really nice change of pace ended up falling flat because in many ways your choices didn't matter that much and stuff like, how fast you complete this and how you talk to people mattered more. Sure that stuff should definitely matter, but so should the fact that you may or may not be a qunari. So should whether or not you had recruited a member of the court to your cause, and what your standing with her is. They should have taken notes from the landsmeet. The main story was for the most part really good but this problem with some of the quests caused it to suffer a bit.

Characters: I actually felt that DA:I did a good job with returning characters, not much in the way of the cameos from DA:2 that often felt shallow and pointless. instead the characters returned for good reasons and were generally brilliant additions to the plot. So more of that sure but I would prefer a focus on newer characters to be honest, especially for the party. As well as maybe bringing in characters that have appeared in the series but not in the games yet, LIKE MAEVARIS PLEASE! :D

Maybe some things we haven't seen before/as much like a Rivaini seer, an actual tal-vashoth companion a female dwarf ect. As for the writing, it was really good in this game, most of the characters were really strong and even the ones that were not were at least interesting. Nobody really fell flat for me in this one so just carry on doing what you are doing there.

LIs:  Again they were pretty good in Inquisition, I would rather you tried interesting and new things rather than trying to make everyone/some specific group happy. You will never be able to do that.

Monsters/Animals: please bring back the desire demons, if you must be prudes and give them some kind of less sexual redesign or whatever then fine but it felt weird not seeing them there at all. I would have liked a pet, even if just in Skyhold.

Combat/Abilites: The combat was too flashy (wtf was the purple flash stuff when the rogue attacks) and it didn't even feel as tactical as DA2 despite being supposedly a return to tactical combat. The specialization trees were also a bit of a mess. I disliked the only 8 active abilities thing especially.

Didn't mind the lack of healing tho.

Boss battle: The Cory battle was awful.

If we are going to have forces again can they be useful for something? like they were in Origins for example. It wasn't much but it actually felt like you really did command armies.

OMG please not this they can't freakin make your perfect women. It's called life I doubt you'd get every time of women as a companion and not all are gon a want you.

I didn't say perfect but it would help if they didn't look like a man or act like Disney princess.

They need to follow up on Solas' story, they need to allow the next protagonist to be elven (or just race selection in general), and they need to have the Inquisitor come back (either as a major NPC a la Hawke or Morrigan in DAI, or a co-protagonist, which the devs have been toying with).

Have I mentioned race selection? If DA4 takes us to Tevinter (the ultimate human magocrasy empire that has scores of elven slaves, is right on the border and at war with the Qunari, and consumes most of the dwarves' lyrium) and we have no choice but to be a regular human mage or servant, I'll scream.

  • Less followers, more content for each follower
  • Forced follower recruitment so that they can be integrated into the plot
  • Longer main plot than DAI
  • One race only
  • Set background instead of a chooseable one that doesn't matter
  • Combat that isn't awful
  • Open-world content that isn't awful

Keep in mind while reading this, that if I don't have any of these things I'll likely still play and love whatever DA4 becomes.

Customization: Honestly, I don't care all that much about having long hair on my Quizzy because it feels impractical, but there's no reason why they couldn't make some very pretty up do's with cute wee strands around the Inquisitor's face and such. Inquisition had like two of these.

I'd much prefer time be invested into armor/weapon customization. I loved the tint table, and it'd be great to see it back and more stuff like it.

Story: I trust Bioware implicitly with their stories. I know I'll be happy with whatever they decide to do. The only thing I'd like is more... humorous options and approaches, for a light-hearted character like Sarcastic!Hawke. I found the Inquisitor often felt bland, though I acknowledge that this is because they're meant to be a blank canvas for players to project themselves on to, so I could go without. I'd also like for a more 'humble beginnings, hero gets thrown into organization' type deal. Like, what if we're not the leader of the people we're playing with? What if we get given orders by a commander/s we can have various types of relationships with, and we can choose whether or not to follow through with them in the thick of it? And then, eventually, maybe we do take charge, or splinter off to form our own group, or get thrust into leadership if we must, etc.

Characters: I want couple companions, like Zoe and Wash from Firefly, who are already married and have cute banter (speaking of which, no matter how much time for banter the writer's are given it will never be enough, so give them as much as is possible!). I also want a male gay/bi!knightly type, because I know that's in high demand, I'd also like a knightly type that isn't so chaste and good inside, someone like Jamie from GoT. An elf slave who was 'happy' being a slave, could be interesting too. Like, they were treated nicely and given opportunities they wouldn't have had, so they don't see it as a bad thing (maybe this could be an origin story for the main character, actually?) Obviously, dwarves, as well. Every single kind of dwarf under the sun. A troubled freed saarebas trying to figure out their place in the world. Lastly, a human female theif-y type, like Isabela but more in line with Merril or Josephine personality wise.

I also want Abelas, because it'd be intensely interesting to see his interactions with modern Thedas, as well as Solas, if he's going to end up being our big bad. And last but not least, I'd like Cole back, but that's more of a petulant "*grabby hands* I looooove him, give him baack tooo meeee." kind of thing.  :P

There. Those are my demands. My will be done.

Best wishes, Devs!

Dragon Age 4:  Some sort of awesome hero that stops the Qunari from invading the south and ends the Tevinter/Qunari War.  Meets a babe companion.  Kills some dragons.  Finds Solas' super secret base of operation.

Inquisitor=Hulk
