What is gonna make you want to play the game over and over? What is gonna make u jump out of your seat and smile when you play the game? What is gonna make you say "That was amazing, and the best one yet?"
*For me it's gonna have to be actually building up my character. I want to start with my character from the first real struggle like Hawke. Or go through a harrowing again.
*I want the first Mage auto attacks they had in the Alpha of Inquisition they fit so much better.
*I want more interactive environments for my strategic gameplay
*I want actual weaknesses to enemies for more strategic gameplay
*And I want choices that make me feel like I wanna reload and do it again because I really feel bad about how it effected the world around me. Choices that not only effect me but others.
NOT COMPARING REALLY just using as a example.
But in The Witcher 3 some choices ended up making me stop and say wtf did I do. And those choices I had made were so far back I definitely wasn't gonna reload. Such as the Bloody Baron killing himself because his wife died. If I had just did what the crones wanted me to do she may have live idk yet. But that was just amazing to me as a gamer.
SO WHAT IS GONNA REALLY MAKE IT FOR YOU?WHAT IS GONNA MAKE YOU PREORDER ? WHATS GONNA HAVE U SAYING DAMN THAT WAS JUST AMAZING?

Also Tevinter architecture, fashion, etc. but I'm pretty sure that's a given.
References/cameos for past companions and NPCs, 'cause I'm a sentimental cheeseball.
FLAILS. PLEEEEAAAASSE. I'm dying to whack somebody with one of those.
Also wanna check out the jungles of Par Vollen, see Seheron, maybe fight a leopard instead of a wolf for once? That'd be sweet. Unless we get poisoned by a tree frog or something. What a way to go.

*Race selection. No more boring humans.
*Ability to change weapons in combat so I don't have to reload if I start a fight against an enemy that is resistant to my current weapon.
*Solavellan.
*Large scale tactical choices that affect the narrative. Eg choosing where to focus your efforts or which places you want to protect/attack and have this affect where the plot goes.
*Improved animations, Bioware is still pretty bad at these unfortunately.
*More difficulty levels. Nightmare is too easy and Casual is too hard.
*Getting to play as the Inquisitor again.

Hawke was definitely not boring.
And lol really changing weapons in combat? Kinda a weak thing to ask for I mean it's life you don't always know what's around the corner so you'll have to settle for using other tactics then.
And kinda agreed with animation bit I believe they dialed them back do to the last gen. If you look at the Alpha everything looked so much cooler.

On a far more prosaic line, way more save slots per playthrough and local saves of world states so that we can actually start a fresh game from a different world state when the bloody servers are down. Yes, I have just been trying for the last hour and I'm grumpily wondering why the hell it can't be somewhere among the couple of hundred GB of unused storage on the console's hard drive.
As for gameplay, I'd like to control my attribute points myself again when levelling up and I wouldn't mind different prologues for different PCs like we got with Origins. I can see that story reasons prevented this in DA:I but obviously all our different race Inquisitors-to-be arrived at the game's starting point by different means and for different reasons. Assuming multiple options for background in the next one I'd like to be able to play a bit of them in the tutorial stage before hitting the main plot.

As much equipment variety as trespasser had
Yea I definitely get tired of having a very limited amount of robes for my mage character lol.

I'm not very needy. I want an awesome, long, not-gated story, awesome companions, and less sensitive romance triggers. That's about it from the top of my head.
Oh and I want them to redesign the FemQunari. How did they got from this:

She was boring to me.
Having a fight take 3 times longer simple because the enemy is resisting x% of my damage doesn't force me to use other tactics, it just makes things take longer.

The first thing about save I don't know what your talking about with the servers and all lol. As for starting the game more close to where out real journey of the PC begins I agree.
I would have loved to actually made the voyage to the conclave from my clan or from the circle so I could at least get a better understanding of my back story.

Better combat mechanics. Especially for mages, they felt way too pew-pew.
A better tactical map
More than 8 active abilities
Jaws of Hakkon-quality zone storylines for each area in addition to the main story.
Talent trees more like DA2
If we can get a base that can be decorated, more variety. And more stuff to do there.
Better banter triggers.
Edit: And how could I possibly forget BRING BACK THE TACTICS MENU!!!

Lol you were making her boring is more like it.
An that's why I stated for enemies to have more weaknesses and more ways to defeat them rather than oh wow I'm gonna just swap out ma weapon that's so realistic. When fighting a powerful enemy I don't think you have time for that.
I believe it would be far more immersed and exciting to have to find their other weakness other than just the most obvious way of the elemental weakness

Basically if you don't pick the choice your potential LI prefers in CotJ or IHW you can easily miss a flirt option and then you are locked out.

Having the ability to do an evil or very ruthless playthrough. Having all or at least most companions dead
What the hell would u think would cause all of your companions to be dead. We usually have 8 and you can only take 3 wtf.
I agree with the ruthless play through. I wouldn't want ruthless ways to haunt the story but add on to it and take it in another path that we wouldn't see with other play through's

DAO/DA2 tactics, and a proper tactical camera that doesn't need to take the stairs.
