You will have to give up something.

What's the point of wearing medium armor on a rogue? They either dodge (high DEX) or get obliterated, there's no middle ground...
Not to mention that there's practicaly no medium armor with good bonuses for rogues. For best light armor you need 20 or 22 STR, no more... so I would make DEX a priority with CUN as the 2nd most important skill... it'll at least increase their armor penetration, so they are not rendered weak against foes with strong armor.
Basically, get your STR around 20, DEX as high as you can with CUN at least 30 (you can then unlock all chests with master level lock-picking) or more (if you have Bard spec, they get better songs with more CUN I believe). Magic is worthless, Willpower depends on the build, how many sustainables you use and how many active talents and Constitution... well few points can't hurt, but rogue can't play warrior and isn't blood mage either.

You need Cunning for Lock Picking unless you want Leliana to do it which I do frequently. Then you give Leliana half cunning to Dexterity.
You also get armor penetration with cunning although I sort of like 2 dex to 1 cunning.

A Cunning based build helps in making Song of Courage more deadly as well. The major weaknesses of the Cunning rogues is that in not putting points in either strength or dexterity, cunning rogues have very low physical resistance. It's no trouble at all for an enemy to stun them and them kill them , or knock them out.
