...your twentieth what?

In the other thread we had on this, I wrote out nineteen squadmates, their abilities, their history, their recruitment, their loyalty missions, their romanceaility (where applicable), et cetera.

I wanted to finish off with a twentieth but I never came up with a good idea sans the joke Reaper Companion.

I don't want female turian and female drell. I want male turian and/or male drell. Otherwise, there's not gonna be any romance in the game for me. And no, I would not touch an asari or a batarian with a ten foot pole. So male turian and/or male drell as a squad mate, thank you.

And yeah, I go for no kids, as well. The crew members could have kids but just no premade kids for the protagonist a.k.a a single parent.

I want the option to be a two-timing, double "dipping" wh*remonger and have it blow up in my face...or not have it blow up in my face...maybe a friend with benefits on the side who doesn't care I'm in a relationship...or is also in a relationship.

As for companions, mainly I just want interesting, well written characters.  I'd admit I would love to have one of those virtual aliens to explore.  I'd like to see a Batarian written in a different light with more dimension - rather than the typical human-hating slaver/mercenary.  And a "smart" Vorcha...for comic relief.

One problem with....

I went ahead and typed up my ideas. I hope this isn't too disjointed and is easy to understand. Squadmates will be in a separate post.

·         ARKCON also acquires two Rachni queens to create drones to aid the workforce in constructing the Ark. In addition, after Shepard successfully enters the galactic core and wipes out the Collectors therein ARKCON is able to enter the galactic core to confirm their theory and take advantage of millions of years worth of alien tech from the ships littering the core. Among the wrecked ships is a Prothean vessel with 500 living Protheans in cryostasis. The Protheans offer their knowledge and assistance.

How did the Protheans access the Omega-4 Relay.  How could they have been in stasis in the galactic core, and the collectors not be aware of their existence?  When Shepard first enters the galactic core, those sleeping drones were alerted to the Normandy's presence in the core.

Anyone can access the Omega-4 relay, it's just surviving the Collector's defenses that's the problem. The Prothean ship got rekt but the stasis pods survived.

Would really dig a squadmate that's kind of a scumbag but has loads of charisma. Really like the kind of characters that I really want to hate but can't truly bring myself to because there's something oddly charming about them.

Haestrom, Dholen, Red Giant dying star and Dark Energy. This is where the plot starts from. I would like to see about the reason why the civilization of the Milky Way need to travel to the nearest Galaxy. To find answers for the Dark Energy ? To find new home ? New uncharted and habitable planets ?

As for squadmates ? I would like to see Andromedans among my companions. It sounds a bit wild but i would like that.

I think a lot of people would like that. I know I've seen a lot of people on the forum say they want native Andromedans on the squad. I would have included one in my squad if I had any good ideas for new races.

Arrive in Andromeda and every alien hates you

mini quest, old ancient alien outpost blah blah blah

on many of the quest you get taunted by the N7 guy/girl (depends on your sex)

you then follow the N7 guy/girl to some ancient relic and stuff goes really bad

then politics... blah blah blah

you are suddenly one of the most important/powerful people in this new galaxy (humanity f yeah story)

then you are sent to stop these evil powerful aliens that don't stand a chance against you even though they use lasers (kinetic barriers don't stop lasers)

you and your team discover a very powerful gun that can wipe out the aliens

game ends with you killing and/or making the N7 guy/girl commit suicide and humanity becoming the most powerful race in the galaxy (with less than 200million people and maybe 1 ship)

Awesome music!

A romance option that cheats on you.

I want to see the tears.

I'd like to see a romance where you actually have to compete with a rival for the affections of said romance. Sort of like Josephine where you had to duel Otranto but more of a love triangle where the LI is attracted to both the PC and the 'other person'. Would make for more drama if that 'other person' was a crew member or fellow squadmate.

As for my ideas?

Plot:
-You're an anti-villain/active villain with the odds stacked against you. Past several BWare games have been 'hero' and 'anti-hero', but plot twist for Andromeda has you playing for whatever intentions you decide, but it turns out your efforts did far more harm than good. Sort of like how someone might see the Sith Empire as 'serving the greater good' or actively seeking power and advancement.
-Would like to see your disposition/alignment play a role in the story for good and bad. Good guy? Some may trust you but others might view you as easy prey or a pushover. Neutral? They might see you as a mercenary or someone with a flexible morality (untrustworthy to more polarized characters, others might be willing to enlist your aid). Evil? I'd like to actually see a rise to power and it actually play out rather than a 'hero with a slight attitude problem'. Doesn't have to be 'kick puppies' evil, but I don't want to keep seeing my PC pretend to be a hero when he/she is aware and actively knows what he/she is doing.

Squadmates?
-An asari geek who constantly makes awkward mistakes, leading to hilarious circumstances aka Space Linu. Her romance arc could play out like a romantic comedy. Instead of asari = space mage/adept, she could be a sentinel and have extensive tech knowledge.
-A human infiltrator who is an expert sniper and bounty hunter. To counter the typical 'hard human woman with a secret vulnerable side/broken bird syndrome', she's actually very upfront and doesn't have a layer of emotional ice to melt. She's actually not too sappy, has 'been there, done that' (maybe ex pirate? Mercenary? Black ops?), leans strongly renegade.
-A human male Vanguard who has a solid tanking skill tree if you so desire. A bit grumpy, prone to making mean spirited comments, can be bitterly sarcastic. Has a tragic past (ex slave, lived a life of crime) and has a good side but you have to sift through the emotional ice (basically Biotropes gender flipped). Think Bishop from NWN2 or a male Jack (only not psychotic) or Morrigan.
-A female alien from one of the less human, 'weird' races. Like a turian, salarian or a new race. Most of the time the female companions are human or humanish and the males are from the 'cool/weird' races.

I have a character concept I've been turning over.

It's a male human, engineer class. A hacker and a white collar criminal, a master thief on the same level of Kasumi, and just as audacious.

The whole thing is dependent on the timing of Andromeda not being that far after the move from one galaxy to another. He hacks into records about the arc, and decides to act on the information. So, he hacks a little further and trickles some hints about his plans to some of the key people involved, his plans being to stage a showy disruption of some of their supposedly secure system. He does, and after doing so, immediately turns himself over.

That's it. His demonstration serves two purposes. The first, to assist in alerting them to any weak points in their security. The second, as his resume. He demands nothing, but he's gambling that they'll take him into custody and consider making use of his talents.

When the protagonist meets him, he's still officially in custody, but they have used him as a consultant on a few occasions. Our protagonist can chat with him, and then decide whether they want to recruit him as a squadmate, or leave him there.
