So I absolutely loved Trespasser. Top notch DLC. Can't wait for DA4.

But I have to say that the discrepancy in knowledge between the player and the PC was a little jarring at times. This is unavoidable since the Inquisitor was not present for the big reveal at the end of the main game, but all the teasing and foreshadowing throughout the DLC about the Dread Wolf was a pretty offputting, since it was a mystery to our Inquisitor but not to us.

Am I the only one who felt this way?

I tried to avoid spoilers for this DLC but once the name "Fen'Harel" came up I just... Oh ok Solas I know who you are why are we playing hide & seek? I love this DLC but the main game gives too much spoilers. Honestly the only two things that managed to surprise me was Varric being made a viscount and human!Cole getting a girlfriend.

If you find all the evidence and clues, the quizy can state who he is when they meet at the end.

The most jarring thing for me was the inquisitor acting like he'd banged his head and forgotten what had happened over the course of the last 2 years. Think a cinematic presentation of individual stories during the gap supplemented by later probing additional questions might have been better.

I had no issue with the separation of knowledge regarding Fen'harel between me and the character i was roleplaying.

doesn't really help though. From the very beginning I know who he is along with most of his plan (the post credit scene, the trailer, lores from past games and such) (the trailer is my fault but still).

Also I kept Tal-Vashoth!Iron Bull in my party constantly but he didn't offer much help with the Qunlat aside from a few dialogues (though I love how he essentially told the Qunari woman (forgot her name) to get lost)

I think this way would have been better if we didn't know who he was. Because we did, I felt like it was a little too much, especially the Qunari's obsession and knowledge about him.

It was distracting, but not all bad. It created a seperation from my Inquisitor, but it also provided a hook to keep me drawn into the plot.

Her title is the Viddasala. I did like some of the background commentary he offered though about Qunari culture.

human!Cole getting a girlfriend.

This was my #1 biggest surprise! My jaw actually dropped.

This exactly. I know they wanted a juicy teaser at the end, and boy did they give us that. But I feel like the discovery process in Trespasser would have been more engaging if we hadn't known for sure who Solas was.

Not much of a mystery, considering he runs away anyway, but... At least my Inquisitor wouldn't have been staying things like "I wonder if there's something to this Fen'harel story" and "Why do you think we work for Fen'harel?" and making me yell at the screen.

I see your point. I was much more interested in reading all the codices with the Fen'harel lore than I might have been if he hadn't been a party member.

No.  But they did handle it marvelously well all things considered.
