Inquisitor Furiosa has arrived.
What a lovely day.
Should adjust to your class style.
Rogue-Crossbow if Archer or Dagger if Duel Wield
Warrior-Longsword if Two handed now you are Duel Wield or Shield if sword and shield
Mage-Cannon to shoot magic out o.
Or they can stick with the crossbow sure we can say it fits a rogue more but lets not act like they didnt have magic coming out of that same hand before which some said would fit a mage. Honestly crossbow arm works for all classes just less for warriors. Rogue works like regular cross bow for rogues, Mages wont need to fill it with arrows when you can use it to direct your magic out of it, and warrior well once upon a time in dragon age warriors could be archers so it would work same as rogue only instead of holding a dagger in the good arm a one handed sword.
I'm thinking more towards a gauntlet that can place runes or sigils compared to the Infinity Gauntlet or a phantom limb from the Fade.
All your ideas fit for my male Inquisitor ...
but ... for my Lady-Inquisitor they are all so .... ugly.
Sorry, don't want to be unpolite.
Said it once, say a thousand
Fully functional prothestics shouldn't be in the setting
I'm sorry but for all the crazy thing we seen dwarven smith make how is a prothestic arm jumping the shark?

Have your lady Inquisitor wear a glove over the prosthetic hand. Most of our armors and outfits already involve wearing gloves.
In the concept art of the Iron Bull he has a prosthetic Arm. It's binded with hooks and a shield.

Does he have only one eye, too?

One of the concepts even had him with a fully functional cannon built into the prosthetic.
Though I haven't played to this point yet myself...I stumbled on the ending when searching for ways to either kill or (preferably free) the dragon. (how is that done by the way???) And while I understand that if Solas permanently affixed the Anchor to the Inquisitor's hand...and as Cassandra said "....It is killing you...." I can understand the choice of self-preservation- cut off my arm and lose the Anchor (which is killing me anyways) in order to live- BUT at the same time....the sudden appearance of the Inquisitor with only half of their left arm is jarring. I think in terms of logical sequence it would have made sense to show a small cut-scene of having to cut off your own arm...rather than Solas permanently fixing the anchor into your hand (yet you still being alive and whole) one moment....then *fade to black* (Scene change) *In walks the Inquisitor back to the Exalted Council....suddenly missing half an arm*
I found (and still find) that more than a little disconcerting.....seeing the Inquisitor with only half his/her left arm, and to be honest, I find it a little sad. Does anyone else find that scene a little jarring?
And lastly, can anyone tell me how to free the dragon called Artaashi or whatever the Qunari called her? I've tried for hours to kill it to no avail,so I want to try to free it - I never really liked killing dragons anyways.
Thanks Bunches!
You have to use your arm to break the cart that is on the flame rotation
I have been thinking about this a bit and I think I have a solution for greatsword wielding warriors. In my headcanon, my Inky (A two handed Templar) gets Dagna to make her a prosthetic arm that she can attach many different attachments to. Like a hand for everyday wear and weapons for battle. etc...
So why couldn't they make one that is essentially a greatsword? The Inquisitor could get a greatsword attachment to snap onto her arm when she goes into battle. It would have a grip on the bottom for her to hold with her good hand and she could swing it like a regular greatsword. I think it would work.
I think about this stuff too much... Lol.
I really don't want my inquisitor to have a prosthetic, I want the real arm back lol. I don't think fake arms would look good on female mages lol!
Magic, regrow the arm, Bioware already established it was possible with blood magic, having a few Qunari prisoners go 'missing' is really a small price to pay to get your arm back.
Honestly, I'd prefer it if the Inquisitor's adventuring/fighting days were over. It'd kind of kill the impact of getting the limb removed if they just got a weird steampunk-ey prosthetic afterwards and were just as functional as they were before.
IIRC the Inquisitor actually says in one of the speeches that their adventuring days are done.
I get your sentiment, but it's also nonsense to be railroaded into being one-armed forever when the setting has already established multiple possibilities for a workable prosthetic/replacement arm.
1) Regeneration via healing magic
2) Regeneration via blood magic
3) Crossbow contraption in Sera's ending
4) The metal arm that was found
5) You have several talented enchanters, mages and artificers as friends and/or employees
6) Real-life historical references to men and women who were still in the thick of fighting with a prosthetic
7) Magic has allowed for a lot of unlikely possibilities to occur before
I could go on, but there's no way that the Inquisitor has no options what so ever to replace his/her arm and trying to force that angle for the sake of "drama" will only backfire.
Why do so many people think loosing one arm will mean the end of the Inquisitors fighting days? Yes Two handed warriors are gone but someone can fight with just one arm, its possible, not ideal but possible.
Personally I prefer two types of Prosthetic, a simple arm for peace times and either that red jenny crossbow or something similar. I'm not sure how effective attaching a sword/dagger to the end of your arm would actually be.
Plus my Inquisitor's a reaver so maybe she could just somehow use dragon rage while kicking people instead of punching / clawing people?
I hate how this was done, it's definitely part of why Trespasser is pretty much my worst-case outcome. It feels like it was just there for shock value and to drive home that arbitrary rule that you have one game per protagonist and then you're dead weight to be gotten rid of.
Without any character development or on-screen effort around the loss and its effects, it's just so ... random and cheap. No acknowledgement of the mutilation by anyone, nor of the likely shock and trauma of it, nor of the fact how vulnerable it makes the Inquisitor unless and until a solution is found (especially seeing as how much of the world apparently hates her and will no doubt leap at the chance to easily kill her). No support or comfort for it, no promise to immediately research what can be done to help. Nothing. What was the point?
If they replace the arm with anything remotely functional, why destroy it to begin with? If they don't, it will beg the question of why magic and engineering can accomplish impressive things elsewhere but not for our character.
. . . And lastly, can anyone tell me how to free the dragon called Artaashi or whatever the Qunari called her? I've tried for hours to kill it to no avail,so I want to try to free it - I never really liked killing dragons anyways.
FluffyNinjaLlama video - Dragon Age: Inquisition - Trespasser DLC - Saving Ataashi:
Ya know guys, Hawkes mother became an expert on Dragon Age plastic surgery. I'm not saying my Inquisitor would go to a Dark Town surgeon in Kirkwall-but I'm thinking they would/could dig up a few options.

Well, I imagine that the impact of the loss of a limb isn't suddenly undone completely by a working prosthesis. The prosthesis itself is still symbolic of that loss. Anything "remotely functional" will probably not work nearly as well as the limb it replaces.
Indeed. But without an acknowledgement and exploration of that loss, I don't see the point in the first place. It's such a painfully blatant example of how a Bioware protagonist is rarely allowed to actually be a character, not a story-prop.
An artificial limb does not demean a character if handled the right way. I've posted elsewhere the story of Nuada of ancient Irish legends. He was chief of the Tuatha De Danann (the old Irish equivalent of elves) who lost his hand/arm in their fight with the Fir Bolg. He had to surrender leadership of his people, despite leading them to victory, because their chief had to be bodily whole. His successor became corrupt but Nuada was given a silver arm by a magical healer that responded to his will like flesh and blood. Thereafter he was known as Nuada of the Silverarm and his legend continued.
So in a similar world, where apparently even time travel is possible, it must surely be possible to find someone who can knock up a equally miraculous arm? I didn't get the Red Jenny end with a crossbow arm (do you have to join them for that?) and since my elf is an archer, the loss of his arm was a serious setback. However, he has the alternative of either retraining with a dagger (I took the assassin specialisation so easy enough to adapt) or getting his lover Dorian to do a bit a research and come up with something. Alternatively get Dagna, Bianca and Varric to put their heads together and then find Sandal to do a bit of Enchanting.
Of course that won't happen in game because the writers wanted a nice neat way of preventing the Inquisitor from being a major factor in the next game, except behind the scenes, without actually having to kill them off entirely. So far as my elf is concerned, the anchor gave him a status and false title (Herald of Andraste) which he has now relinquished so he can fight from the shadows as he formerly did. He will simply reinvent himself and be just as deadly. I still have my amulet that makes me immune to physical harm and my own version of the dragon armour that protects from most forms of magic, plus numerous rings and belts.. That will give me a bit of an edge.

Sadly, 'tis unlikely this will ever happen.
Oh, wait, did I just say unlikely? Make that nigh impossible.
I realize this. I also realize that my behaviour is... stupid.
I just can't help it. I can't help but to hope.

In dragon age comics mage grew back arm to dwarf but arm was smaller. If some random mage can do it. I am sure Solas can bring people from the dead. It was hinted Titans can bring people from the dead, Renn. Impossible
It not just Impossible it's very easy.

I believe only Solas may be able to do this...
Good luck getting Solas to do that.
