I'd just go play the new Deus Ex, Fallout 4 or Star Citizen.
If MEA disappoints you in the end....

Honestly, I doubt ME:A will disappoint me. I am going in with a fairly skeptical mind set, low expectations and an open mind for lot's of changes this time, so they'd really have to mess it up for me not to like it at least on some level.
I will say that BW disappointed me with ME3 but I will also readily admit that my expectations for that game were enormous. ME3 was not a bad game at all, gameplay and presentation were top notch and even the story (the main cause for my disappointment) has a lot of highlight, hell, it probably has overall more good stuff than bad stuff to it. It's just that the few points that did disappoint me were so crucial that they soured the entire experience for me. But I do realize that the was at least partly my fault for having a lot of preconceptions about the game. A mistake I will not make with ME:A.
I also think that DA:I for all it's flaws (and it has quite a few) was one of BioWares better games in the last couple of years and most of said flaws were clearly a result of lack of experience with exploration focused gameplay (and possibly the new engine as well). Most of them are fairly easy to identify and rectify so if they learn from some of these mistakes and translate some of the strength to the ME universe, well then I think we have a good chance to receive a good game.
But we'll see. I'll wait for the game to come out, see some reviews from sources I trust and then decide when I'll get the game (for $50 at release or for $20 a year later with all DLCs). TNo hype, no disappointment. It's that simple.

will you give up on Bioware?
I haven't yet played a disappointing BioWare game yet, so it's hard to judge how I'd feel in that circumstance.
If BioWare made a single mis-step I wouldn't abandon ship.
Some have been better than others, but often in different ways, so there's no simple ranking.
On the whole, BioWare make terrific games, though this year's front runners: Witcher 3, MGS and hopefully Fallout 4 have raised the bar so 'great' now needs to be 'greater'...

I doubt BioWare can disappoint me for I have no expectations for any game I buy and will read at least two lengthy reviews about the game. Based on those reviews I make my own conclusion if I will buy it or not even if the conclusion I get is different then the reviewers.

DA:I was pretty much the last straw.
Clearly the empirical evidence of the 134 GOTY picks suggests that you finding DAI the 'last straw' is a minority view (or is it a delusion
).

will you give up on Bioware? I will since DAI was a disappointment for me.
Probably. I enjoyed DAI, and I enjoyed ME 3 well enough but ME 2, and DA2 were two very bad stories neither of which mattered in a substantial way in the finale of their respective Trilogies despite the hype that they would (admittedly ME 2 i think mattered more than DA2 though DA2's DLC provided story points for DAI which I suppose is kinda good). Ontop of that the endings weren't exactly stellar for either game. They we're not the worst endings ever, ME3's can arguably be justified by looking back to ME 1 story elements, but if ME:A is no fun, and has a poor story, or is structured badly... I will be done probably with EA not just Bioware. Really the only game right now EA has coming out that I really absolutely Want is Star Wars Battlefiel- I mean Battlefront and I think there's a pretty high probability the pooch will be screwed there. Will I cancel my SWTOR stuff prolly not, will I buy any more games from them, probably not. I mean I've played the Witcher 3 for 94 hours no money spent on DLC... it took me 69 to finish DAI with money spent on DLC... With games like Fallout 4 on the horizon and the Witcher Series, and the increase of Open world Games I'll shop elsewhere if andromeda is another bad Bioware Title. On the other hand if it's not They've got me for 2 -3 more bad games before I quite out again.

Could you be any more condescending to that guy? I don't care how many nominations the game received, a lot of fans were disappointed with DA:I, so there are plenty who share his opinion, and minority or not, it is his opinion. If it's his last straw, then it's his last straw.

Honestly, that guy deserves to be disappointed.
Assuming, you know, that he's sincere and that wasn't a bit of perfectly executed trollish performance art.

At least Bioware finished off DA:I unlike ME3, where no definitive ending was given.

Still struggling to beat DA:I, simply because I can't get into the game.. I've watched it as a "movie" when someone cut out most of the gameplay and only added the dialogues, and cut scenes.
And I'm such a huge fan of the ME Universe. I'd probably not give up on ME and BioWare.
You're struggling, because you already spoiled the game for yourself. Someone on the forums made a thread about if they should try and play DAI again(they bought for two platforms)after spoiling the story and lots of other stuff for themselves. I told them that they're likely not even going to touch it due to their mistake of spoiling the game for themselves.

I'm tired of people crapping on me4 before we even know anything about it. I say let's get a head start and start crapping on me5 or even me6.
ME6 is going to be crap . I'm not buying it.

There's a peach tree in my backyard. It used to grow the sweetest peaches ever. Then it got blight, and all the peaches are rotten from the moment they bud.
But I keep eating them because maybe someday one of them will taste ok.
This makes me sad. A blessing for you tree should help? Maybe an Asari rubbing her butt against it? I hope you'll have nice juicy peaches soon again!

Nope. I personally do not care for any of the DA games even though I have played them all. I just find they lack drama and their stories aren't as polished compared to the ME games. I take hope in the fact that DA and ME games are developped by different studios and that many of the original writers of the original ME trilogy are still on board with MEA. Seriously, how bad can it be? By many accounts BW has sort of 'choked' with the ending of ME3 (to which I disagree) yet many keep going back to the games for more playthroughs. I expect MEA to be a different experience. And I expect BW to come through with another awesome ME story.

Nah, I'm easy
I have no hype or huge expectations for games anymore, so unless the game sucks in every possible way, I don't see myself hating it. I'm also not preordering anyhting or getting on the first day. I'm also cheap with games ![]()

Given that I have personally only bought 2 of their games brand new and the others I got used or as gifts, I'd say no. I never got burned per se. Both games I personally bought new I enjoyed; ME2 and DA2. If ME:A does poorly well, oh well, I'm buying it used anyway. My 60 bucks won't be going to EAware and that's all that matters to me.

Inquisition was a major disappointment and spoiled what is my favorite medieval-fantasy universe slightly. The point that I am dubious about the next fu tu re title.
I am cautiously optimistic for MEA. The Trilogy was incredible for me

Fortunately for me, DAI was not a disappointment. Not the best game in the world. But miles and miles better than ME3
But if MEA is a disappointment (or I guess more accurately, is reported to be a disappointment) well, it'll just be further proof that this team has lost touch with their audience. Or that they're more interested in shooter aspects than the narrative.
But for myself, I've got other games waiting for me: Torment: TIdes of Numenera. The Mandate (an actual scifi RPG) Fallout 4, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, etc.
HEck even Baldur's Gate ENhanced Edition is getting an expansion.
