So? The resolution of that result has been clear since 2009.
Hardly clear to me. If you mean the Orlesian stand-in, that is such a non-entity it doesn't even have a Keep entry. Plus, as far as I can remember there have never been any calls for that stand-in to return. Nobody seems to care about that character. The only time I ever see the stand-in mentioned at all is when some hardcore "bring back the Warden" fans think it's a bone to throw at the sacrifice-players to get us on board with their plans. Sorry, but no. The two characters aren't remotely comparable.
Edit: I understand frustration about a beloved character not getting closure or not being used again when it would "make sense" (Weisshaupt and internal Warden trouble). For me, Trespasser was my personal nightmare when it comes to the Inquisitor, and I have little hope the future of the series will ever "heal" that. I should fully have expected it, beause this is how Bioware treats their protagonists. So yes, I get it. But there is just no way you can have the Warden and a random replacement fill the same role in any future games. Most likely you'd end up with either:
1) A minor role for the Warden, and no replacement. Whatever content the Warden is involved in simply does not exist in a sacrifice-worldstate. Very likely unsatisfying for the "bring back the Warden" crowd.
2) A bigger role that can't just be dropped and is filled by some random nobody replacement if the Warden is dead. In terms of emotional and storytelling significance, that replacement would fail all the way trying to fill a pair of boots a dozen sizes too big for them. Very likely unsatisfying for the sacrifice-crowd.
So what would a workable compromise even look like?
