So at Skyhold you have that guy Sutherland who you can turn into a kinda mercenary captain. He ends up getting two followers who hang out with him in the bar at Skyhold. My question is there a way to keep them all around? It always seems I get to a point in their war table quests that they disband and the two followers go their own way. I want to keep them around even if its just to stand in the tavern doing nothing. So yeah dose their quest chain always lead to them splitting up or is there a way to avoid that?

Well, they either split up or get killed. So going their own ways is sort of the better outcome. Either way they won't be there unless you just don't finish their last wartable mission.

Sutherland and team always stay around to the end for me. They are there even after my PC kills Cory. You do have the pick the right paths though. He says he and his team are going to find a keep of their own but they still stick around after he says that. They probably find a keep in the two year gap before Trespasser.

Anybody else seen a bug with these guys? I had Rat appear and tell me they were captured. She asked me to help but I didn't have any missions appear...

The mission has always appeared the six games I've played. I am always very careful to not talk to Bull to get his personal quest started until I'm completely through with all of Sutherland's quests because Sutherland and Co can get killed if Bull's personal quest interferes with his quest.

You can't get the war table mission if you play after What Pride Had Wrought.
