Very nice parallell!

I can see your point of view but i don't believe Solas is so that stupid. I mean he has already rebelled and fought against such poverful and low-moral mages didn't he?

I think it is very unlikely for him to destroy modern world just to create a dublicate of Arlathan with powerful mages who are willing to enslave everybody else. I think that he has already thought of all possible circumstances, just as we are doing now and calculated all of that: powerful mages, wars and etc. And maybe he has found some answer which we can't find because he possesses more knowledge.

So maybe modern world will face all those magic madness, but his - not. I think he will try to eliminate all those dangers and maybe already has a solution

Everything Solas did since he woke up failed spectacularly. Why should this plan be any different?

It wouldn't suprise me if the veil came crashing down and Solas would immediately be eaten by Nightmare or one of the Forbidden Ones or whatever. Because... SURPRISE! He can babble about "spirits" all he wants, but those are not the only ones lurking in the Fade.

Because if it doesn't work and all turns out to be his miscalculation we all will die laughing at him. It will make him from one of the most dangerous threats to modern thedas to most ridiculous one. BW dont want us to laugh at antagonists. Well, i hope so

BW may not want us to laugh at antagonists, but it does happen.

Possible outcome. Death was rare before the veil because elves were immortal, so they didn't have to deal with many spirit possessed dead. When the veil is torn, all the dead will rise again. Corpses & skeletons. A legion of decay that will rise all over Thedas all at once.

So far, all the possible veil sundering effects just make me think of Mass Effect 3s ending choices. That's why I don't see Solas getting anywhere close to his goal.

War.

Everyone will have a song to sing, some more than others will want everyone marching to their tune. Some old songs may even return, though to who they sing may change.

I also wonder what duality would remain.

What will happen is:

The world will be destroyed, since the Fade, which is shaped by intent, would be shaped pretty much by any mage. Many would die in the chaos.

Solas would restore the world based on his ancient memories, so it would probably be somewhat accurate, if framed by his biases. Likely, he would use this to kill any non-elves.

Demons would be free to possess anyone, though they will still likely be drawn to mages.

The Enuvaris will return, and probably get revenge.

In short, the world would suck.

A major confusion regarding Solas restoring magic to the elves is that the ones he talks about are the ancient ones sleeping and not the current ones.

That is not necessarily true, because Solas IS gathering the elves to him and probably preparing them for the world to "wake up" and be as it was meant to be. Which I think would be farking fantastic. There are so many unanswered questions though... what would a bringing down of the Veil do to humans and the dwarves? Besides the chaos, I mean on a more fundamental level. Anyways, I'm for a return to the world of Thedas to it's natural state. The way it is right now is some artificial semi-existence brought on by an elven spell... a Tranquil Thedas.

Unwitting pawns to an unloving god that sees them as disposable minions who have no place in said gods future world. A rather ignominious and fitting end for the elves, after all the trash BioWare heaped upon them, eh?

They wrote a good song about them. Mercy for the elves
Who's gonna have mercy now.
I was thinking- what if solas's words to an elven inwuisitor about "your people" was not done intentionaly? He tells that phrase to all the races maybe writers just didn't pay much attention to the fact how that sounds to an elf? Cause otherwise the fact that he is gathering elves is strange. Why wouldn't he let them continue spying for him?

There's not really any basis for this statement. In fact, Solas doesn't say that the existing elves cannot return to their original immortal state and heavily implies they will return to their immortal state because he takes the blame for their current existence because he put up the Veil. There's nothing even remotely callous in his attitude towards the current state of his brethren, he'll even romance a female Inquisitor.

Demons will run amok, abominations will rampage though cities, the Titans will wake, the remaining old gods will break free, the elven gods will return and the Avvar gods will also show up because why not and then the maker will return as fortold, set the lot of them on fire and then make them all writeI will not destroy the world 5 million times before making them clean up their mess.
