Why is the lighting so bad during character creation? When my characters step out of the creator into the light they look drastically different. Please fix this.

You are in the Fade when the CC kicks in, lighting on the Fade sucks. Use Black Emporium to fix it later

Step Three: Get to the Black Emporium ASAP! I've learned that no matter what, I never get it right the first time, especially the eyes and get to the war table as soon as I can to visit the Black Emporium. I definitely think that the CC, as much as I love it, could have been a bit brighter.

It sucks when making Hawke too.

I haven't noticed much (if any) improvement in the lighting of the Black Emporium creator/editor, either. It's just... really bad lighting that doesn't match any of the conditions you see in-game (except maybe in the Fade). But the Emporium really is a blessing for fixing the inevitable "wow it's a potato and I thought it was an Inquisitor" issues, so I'm definitely not complaining that it exists.

The emporium lighting doesn't thrill me either, I wish the CC lighting would actually be like the more common lighting in game.

It sucks when making Hawke too.

They somehow made it WORSE.

That will forever baffle me.

They really should allow us to adjust the lighting to see the character we create in various lighting conditions. I don't think that would be too difficult to implement.

Would be nice to get that added in a future patch, but if not, something to consider for the next game in the series.

There should have been an option to place a grid over your screen as its impossible to recreate a duplicate character exactly the same. Ive been trying to recreate th bald and bold dwarf that someone else did and theres a lot of estimating. Doesnt help that the character constantly shifts up and down and no setting numbers for zoom etc

Just a little shifter with a different lighting environment so you can see what they look like.... my Inquisitor looks great in the Fade.... then I go to the Deep Roads and she looks horrible!!!

It's a feature in pretty much every Bioware game since DAO. At least we don't have to play through an introduction before getting to the CC ...

I seem to remember them promising us that this time around the cc would have some decent lighting and the prologue would offer us the chance to see our character in a variety of different lighting conditions so we could quickly decide if we liked it.

And then the game came out and the cc is lit in green and the prologue is nothing but overexposed white...
