I really don't owe any of you an explanation at all because you're hell bent on being a hive-minded squadron of trolls who does their best to insult anyone with a different opinion.

But I can answer this one. Because none of you would last 5 seconds in DAMP's heartbreaker difficulty, and likely haven't even attempted nightmare in single player.

I'm done here though. Screw this noise.

I've beaten Nightmare and Platinumed Inquisition, and I quite enjoy the multiplayer.

It's quite rich to see you complaining about "insulting anyone with a different opinion" when that's all you've done in this whole thread. You're entitled to your opinion, just as we are entitled to ours.

Just for you, OP, I'm gonna go play a dating sim.

On easy.

And then I'm gonna cheat.

Cassandra can't even hold her shield up. The AI is literally that stupid. The only way Nightmare is even playable is if you use a Knight Enchanter or just constantly head back to supply caches for potions every 2 seconds.

The latest nightmare provo is barely even worth responding to because of this jewel earlier on. Its hardly my experience of NM or NM+Trials activated and all classes played through :D

I see someone enjoys yelling "No true Scotsman!".

I pushed through Origins' clunky combat because I enjoyed the story, world, and characters. The same thing I did with the original Mass Effect. If a game is interesting enough, I will tolerate poor combat to enjoy its other features.

OP better prepare himself for the impending wrath of the Cullenites. I don't think he realizes how many of them there are.

Maybe they aren't as many as they are so loudly vocal on turning DA games into DA: Barbie Marries Cullen or DA: Elfy Barbie loves Baldy Forever.

OP: "I feel like everybody hates me just because I hate them.  If you are reading this, I think you are stupid.  Why does everybody hate me?"

For the record, I have nothing against casuals.  I think a lot of the Dragon Age community is casuals.  Maybe there weren't as many casuals back when Origins came out, but obviously this is a series that attracts people who like character development and role playing.  That's perfectly fine.  If you think that playing Inquisition on the hardest difficulty mode makes you hardcore, you're doing it wrong.  Go play some classic Megaman or some Dark Souls, then come back here and talk.   If you only like the story, just watch the cutscenes on youtube.  That's what I did for Trespasser, as I don't really find the gameplay all that compelling either.  Yes, watching cutscenes on youtube probably makes me a 'filthy casual' to you.  I don't care.  If you like to do something, you shouldn't have to feel ashamed of it.  If you don't want to do something, you should just not do it.  Complain about it a little bit if you want to let off some steam, but don't insult other people and then complain that they don't kiss you ass.

Says the guy who throws a petty hissy fit about the forums not revolving around combat (There just so happens to be an ENTIRE section of the DA:I forums called COMBAT, STRATEGY, & GAMEPLAY. Do you not see it? And it's fairly active. You can't say the same about alot of gaming forums in general, atleast in comparison) and proceeds to reduce the entire fanbase as a bunch of chicks who have the hots for Cullen (As if there is a problem with that  in the first place, and I'm sure all the boys here appreciate your comment) Reap what you sow, buddy

Then you are not interested in a game. You are interested in a story.

The #1 most important aspect to a GAME is GAMEPLAY.

I must agree with second statement, but why do you think that, story and lore is not part of gameplay? This is RPG(no matter how much this term differ from original meaning) after all, not action, fighting or shooter.

Indeed. I hope the OP is going commando under their kilt and eating their porridge without sugar. :P

Inquisition's combat system is crap as far I'm concerned. As is the UI. But the former is nowhere near the top of things that matter to me in this sort of game. Most combat encounters are just there to pad games out anyway. At least combat can be meaningful, though ... unlike gear.

Yes! I committed another sin against gaming right there. I dislike gear-based games, fiddling with gear, grinding for gear, or being asked to believe that my socks make me twice as smart and my pants make me twice as strong as I would be without them, or that a +12 Hackmaster is what makes a hero and not her choices and the way she deals with her trials. Is that enough to get me a first-class stake to be burned at or do I need to work harder?

This is fun. I'm not a Cullen fan, but I don't see how Inquisition caters to Cullen fan girls.

at least i dont waste half my life making thousands of posts on bsn

Hey, I'll have you know that I--*looks at her post count*

First bolded part: Isn't  that what you are doing in this thread?

Second bolded part: How very wrong you are. I regularly play on Nightmare. Have all the trophies, and have lasted longer than 5 seconds in HB difficulty. (I don't have the promotes to play it on a regular basis).

Yet you ended with this in your first post...

It absolutely disgusts me what the DA fanbase has become. Literally everyone shoots me down saying "I hated the combat in Origins, blah blah blah" what a joke. How can you even call yourself a DA fan if you hated the combat of the ORIGINAL DA GAME?!

All that Inquisition caters to is a bunch of squealing Cullen fangirls.

You want an good example of blind hilarious hypocrisy? Reread your posts.

I'm sorry bud.

You can't insult the people that enjoy Inquisition and whine butthurt that no one accepts your opinion then acting surprised people reacted negatively towards you.

It's common understanding of human nature which clearly isn't being depicted here.

I find myself alienated from the DA fanbase because it seems like many of them have terrible ideas about what is good and what is bad. So many in the fanbase worship Dorian, but he's the same as the loathed Vivienne. They just like him "because gay romanceable" or something equally terrible.

BioWARE alienates me because they used to write amazing characters and are now sacrificing it for some bland form of diversity.

Oh boy the "people only liek Dorian because he's a gay romance" thing. Never seen that before!

Combat in Inquisition was definitely worse than Dragon age: Origins, the problem with 2 was the encounter design more than anything else. Having said that Inquisition is still overall the better game in my opinion, it is far from perfect though, and the thing they need to fix is combat... and level design and story progression. But combat first. then make other things real good like, then we have a winner.

Now now, don't be a silly sausage. You're reaching the realms of impossibility with a statement like this :D

Besides what he/she wrote must be accurate because it had a special capitalization of  the truth in the company name. And not to mention uses all the hit words from internet crankypants- dictionary too.

Wonderful at being obnoxious, perhaps. You like it when people run around talking about how great they are? That's just Mary Sue.

Inquisition combat is a balance between Origins and DA2. I prefer DA2 combat though. Fast paced combat is much more fun than slow clunky ass combat.

Uh... what? So now if we haven't played the game's hardest difficulty, we are somehow... something bad? I'm not even sure. If it makes you feel better though, I did just finish Nightmare. I usually do in games for the challenge, once. But this time I just wanted the achievement. And it really wasn't that hard. And everyone on these forums knows that skill doesn't matter in MP compared to promotions and gear.

Ugh, why am I even arguing this?
