Looks decent but really expensive. Does anyone know what the evil eye special effect does?

From my non extensive testing, it appears to cause enemies to attack each other when afflicted by the evil eye. 

 

It kinda sucked so I ditched it. Coolest looking weapon in the game though imo. I'm a big fan of the living weapon motif in games. Really reminds me of some of the weapons from Tales of Symphonia. 

 

Really wish there was a schematic for it in the game.
