Gotta say, as crazy and genocidal as Solas's plan sounds (then again, his name does mean "Pride" so I guess I should've seen that coming), the idea of a world fused together again with the Fade and thus, bringing back magic to everyone does sound interesting especially if there's a way to do so without killing nearly all life.

For all I know, there might be a way to solve the demon possession problem that has been a consistent reasoning for why mages should be kept in check through Solas's plan.

What do you all think?

The Veil can already be thinned, why just have it completely fall all at once?

It's not just Solas wanting to bring back Elven Glory, he also wishes to wipe the slate clean, as in Kill All Humans (and Qunari).

I get where he is coming from, it's like going to sleep, and waking up in a I Am Legend situation (book, not movie), or waking up to a Vampires Rule the World kind of thing... maybe even a Matrix kind of future... and then wanting to "fix" it by hitting the reset button.

Still, it's not his decision to make, it's not his world anymore, he can go pout in a corner with a sign around his neck saying "Woobie, Destroyer of Worlds," but I can not understand someone wanting to actually join forces with him.

He could choose to just slowly dissolve the Veil, allowing people to adapt, but that's not what he is hoping to do.

I believe the Veil is coming down regardless, per Sandal's prophecy in DA2. I think the real meat of the story will be what Solas plans to do while the "world burns in chaos" - I'm leaning toward the prospect of an Elven invasion type scenario where they try to reclaim literally all of Thedas; the epilogue implies he's building an army.

I kinda doubt we'll have the choice of aiding Solas in his quest to return Elven Glory, as the ending of DAI suggests that won't be an option. (Although I wish it were just for hell of it.)

Veil goes down, humans and qunari fight a bunch of super powered elves.

Dwarves just watch from the sidelines, not caring so much, and then the Titans reveal themselves.

"Titans?" "Titans!" "TITANS! RAWR!" and they just go bonkers, frothing at the mouths with the revelation that they were always right in being the master race and rulers of the Earth.

Then they proceed to stomp everyone with lyrium gatling guns, the Titans being unstoppable if Solas is unwilling to kill them, and the fact that they are dwarves and have been strengthened for being at war for a thousand years.
