No but... Playing a Qunari inquisitor and having no major references in Trespasser is a huge disservice to Qunarikind.

I would have loved to get a little content for Adaar, but I can understand why.

Vashoth aren't rebels, so they don't upset the Qun that much.

DAI confirms the Dalish as the only ones in Thedas that actually recorded the ancient history somewhat right.

Some fans: Aahahah they deserve everything for being preachy & wrong

That's what I got from reading some posters here.

It did confirm that?

Plus, I think it shows a lot more growth on Solas's part if an non-elf is the one who makes him realize people are actually people, as opposed to someone from a direct descendant race he's probably sleeping with.

Agreed, and add "non-mage" to that as well to challenge him even further. I was really satisfied by how the relationship between my human, noble-born, devout but non-zealous Andrastian, partly templar-trained warrior and Solas played out in the base game. It felt slow to build and hard-won, interspersed with arguments, but nonetheless solidly built on mutual respect in the end. After a rocky start, her curiosity, firm devotion to people (all people) over dogma, and growing fascination with spirits provided plenty opportunities to discover common ground.

I like the human Inquisitor because they are most tied to most of the base game's themes like the mage/templar war, the struggles of the Chantry, the issues of faith and the question of whether they can accept being viewed as the Herald of Andraste. Of course, the elves have their own faith-issues later on, and everyone can be or become Andrastian, but it feels more urgent for humans while others might just "do a Sera" and refuse to engage at all. Solas' plans threaten everyone, there's no refusing to engage with that. :P

I might consider an elven mage replay (but no romance) if I can find a way to tolerate the body model -- that is honestly my #1 obstacle. It looks horrible, even in armor. I have trouble enough with the Barbiefied human model, especially since my Inquisistor is a sword & board warrior and heavy-duty frontline leader, but the elven model is even worse. But not having Trespasser makes half the point of an elf playthrough for a greater sense of connection to elf-themes moot anyway, I guess ...
