I must be confused, but I thought when you heal during simulacrum you revive yourself when the spirit leaves after 10 seconds. The spirit still takes damage then just dies. Am I doing something wrong?
Simulacrum+heal on hit not working?

I've never managed to reliably make it work either, but from what I understand you have to time your last attack just right so the heal effect happens after the ghost dies. Any heal on the ghost itself is completely wasted.

Dorian was consistently reviving himself. It all the sudden just stopped working. I hope there wasn't a ninja patch

You need to heal yourself at the moment simulacrum ends. Be it through a throwing a dot damafe effect like wall if fire or wb or an energy barrage cast just before you die so when the missiles hit you would be dead but they heal and res you. The ability itself acts as a warning that you are about to die , gives you free casting so you can do something about it.

I rarely had issues with it before the patch, but now not so sure. I have not seen Dorian self-res since 1.10 & Trespasser came out.
Generally, as soon as my Necro Inq would die, I'd energy barrage the nearest target and that was sufficient.

They might have fixed it, doesnt matter as i like the spirit wisps now. Overall the patch did well to address necro concerns.

Same here. Dorian has a 100% die-for-reals rate. I have not successfully had him recover after Simulacrum kicks in. I've tried everything.
Now that said, I did notice that one time when he had died for reals, and was down until the end of the combat, he did not lose any focus bars.

No way I still get it but it has to be timed just right which ai cannot do. Just don't detonate walking bomb if in simicrum and the dit should red you. If you have heal in hit. If you have hok then better get a spirit pet while in similicrum so in dying you disband the pet and get healed for the hok you have.

In your invincible necro video ottffsse, your ai controlled inquizzy was self reviving. Seem like the ai was doing just fine, like Dorian used to. Sad face.

I had all types of bugs since last patch like companions stopping using skillsvand auto attacking before I restart game.
Well my old saves are fine I cannot however say if it works consistently in a game started since new patch I have not gotten so far. With either Dorian or varric elemental mines artificer hoh.
Truth be told I find it most consistent with just letting walking bomb tik away after casting it in similicrum. But if enemy immediately dies and walking bomb explodes and no longer tiks before you die you're screwed unless you drop a fire wall or something on the enemies. So there are definately instances where I see ai being not able to handle it right.
