This is the no spoilers section so it's hard to say much but I know
I haven't played Trespasser yet and haven't seen all the endings but I did see that one.

If he/she is alive are they mentioned. Do you think there will be closure.
If we assume they are alive why didnt they help? Is it explained at all
If there's a fire in Texas, do firefighters from New York head down to save the day?
Not the best analogy, but... HoF may have other things to attend to while the Inquisitor gets to be the big hero of this game. Things are explained in DA:I, perhaps not satisfactorily, ymmv.

The Hero of Ferelden is only mentioned if he or she romanced Leliana and didn't make the Ultimate Sacrifice.

That's actually a bit disappointing. The HoF was off trying to cure the calling, and suddenly living happily ever after with Leliana? Sounds a bit disjointed. Like they are trying to give the fans what they want rather than writing a coherent story.

The cure for the taint was mostly an excuse to keep the Warden offscreen while the Inquisition was gallivanting throughout his/her home turf.
As for coherence, I don't think the cure for the taint should be dealt in detail until we get a more Grey-Wardens/Darspawn centric episode. And since the game sequel-baited will probably be about Tevinter and Solas, just let it sleep, I say.

I've yet to play Trespasser. But earlier in game, while talking to him via a raven. He's happily living, and travelling with Zevran. I couldn't be happier.

Head canon? Lol.
I'm all for letting the warden rest, I just wish they wouldn't make up nonsensical storylines for them to please the fan base.

They kinda wrote themselves in a corner with the Warden: they had a choice between:
- Killing him/her offscreen, but lo here comes the storm of cupcakes.
- Bringing him/her back into the fray, but the script would have needed extensive retooling
- Invent an excuse to send him/her away from the events at hand and deal with the new plot thread left hanging later.

True... I'll admit, I'd love to see my Warden Commander, just one more time. To see how the last ten years have been for him. I want to say my mage Warden was 19-24 during Origins, so he'd be 29-35, if you include Trespasser's year. That's still very young. Middle age for medieval, but still young enough for one more adventure.

The DA universe seems to have a fair number of people in it who are not only in their 50s/60s, but who are also significantly healthier than most in that age range in the real world. Besides, 29 - 35 is the age range that Batman was in when he joined the Justice League (in a few universes anyway). By that infallible and completely relevant logic, there's time for plenty more adventures! ![]()
With all of that said, I'm completely fine with the idea of my Warden(s) having found a way to prevent the calling, and living happily ever after with Alistair, or Leliana, or my male warden with Morrigan. I mean they each killed an Archdemon (not to mention an intelligent Broodmother and various talking darkspawn) and ended the blight before it could really begin for crying out loud, if that doesn't deserve an early retirement then I don't know what does.
