This weapon makes me happy and most sad at the same time. Its an awesome special power because it does physical and flame damage like the old Explosive Shot and has a rune socket so your main target can be struck three times. 

 

The part that makes me heinously sad is that its level 12 and apparently has no higher ilvl 26 equivilant even though we have every kind of weapon explosion % weapon under the sun at this point. 

 

Anyone else find it silly that we would get such an awesome bow and have it be put in the wrong bin?

Luke made a post about this specific weapon, he made it level 12 intentionally because they recognized it would be overpowered at higher levels, especially if everyone had one.

So he specifically gimped a weapon even though it has to get through physical resistance and fire........but 100% to critical damage isn't overpowered? ~facepalms~

Also because the explosions were obscene and obscured the view when everyone used it.

I just used it this morning, there are no explosions involved with it so they must have disabled those animations (Good on you if that was sarcasm, kind of hard to tell around here in the recent dark days) I got more boom from the Bow of the Artifice and its land mines than I did from the small bits of flamey backsplash from this beautiful Elven weapon.

I have the lv12 bow w/explosive shot but granted I have not tried it out as I've had no need to.   I just took him at his word.

 

EDIT: unless I am think of a different bow (I'm at work) I will check name tonight.
