 I dunno, just another adnaseum post here. Not sure from whats known, ( don't read every thread ) if the Hakkon weapons that only dropped from Dragon runs before are now added to the greater RNG pool by having them available in chest. If so does that jack with the presented  % drop rate from the Dragon? If so I say, "up your but Joboo". I think I should have gotten my fourth Hakkon by now.

 

 It seems like I'm getting some of the flashy new accessories and what not but I need the Hakkon weapons to round out getting  the secret squirrel weapon. The way i see it, some weapons should have been left out of the greater RNG loot table and tied to killing Dragons, even if the difficulty level for drop chances were lowered down to perilous.

From my understanding of Luke's post, the dragon loot tables and chest loot tables are supposed to be independent of each other. This is how people are ending up with 2 or more unique, unsalvageable weapons from the list of newest weapons that released.

 

So while you can now get Hakkon weapons from chests, Nightmare dragon kills will still check your inventory before providing another Hakkon weapon and adjust its percentage drop chance accordingly. Of course, this is assuming it's...working as intended.

I recently dropped ~400k and didn't receive any level 27 purple weapons or Hakkon weapons.

 

That said, I don't really think this is necessarily indicative of drop rates being modified in anyway;  for example, I have 115 Nightmare Dragon kills and 1 Hakkon weapon, so... yeah.  Sometimes RNG is just unpleasant.

Funny for all of us tho, I thought the R in RNG stood for Random. If its purley random then why would a % matter. If its not, then maybe it is as others have posted. Broken? Calculations in a RNG loot table are probably suffering like other functions in game. Randomly. LOL

An observation from yesterday.

 

I entered the store with Reaver selected, and received 3 superb belts of health out of 4 chests. I backed out, changed to Archer to check something and went back to the store, receiving 2 enhanced belts of urgency out of 3 chests. I know I'm not the only one regularly receiving multiple of the same items in one sitting, and if changing class possibly resets something in the store, it may be better to just spend gold as you get it; on the off chance that it will ensure some variety between chests.

 

Yeah, I know, RNG. But this multiple duplicate stuff is happening a lot lately, and it's annoying as hell. I'll put the tin foil hat away now.

I usually spend gold every 2k, except on a weekend I let it build until Monday, spent about 400k by now. At each visit if it is a tad bit over I'll pop on that little 270g chest. I've even gotten a purp from that little chest. Can't remember what, but I know I got a purp.

I'm not even excited anymore when it's purple item from in game or store because i know it's most likely gonna be my 300th superb/ frost/fire/ ligjhtning/spirit rune. Seriously runes should should not considered rare items if every one is getting them.

I haven't gotten anything remarkable in weeks.  

100k last week and not one thing that got equipped. The loot system here is awful. Just awful.

I've been playing since launch and recieved my first ring of Critical Damage Bonus five days ago. I've since acquired 17 of them.

I'll never understand the RNG.

Eariler today I had the Elgar'nan Enaste Bow drop. lvl12 however, I think it was. I played a Nightmare, unintentionally as the host Ninja'd the diff from Perilous. Everyone Faded 3/5 FC, but I think this match was when it dropped. Might have been the chest I bought right afterwards however. Been up too long, a little brain fog atm. lol

 

Is RNG purely a %chance no matter what or can other things help it, such as zone etc?
