The game, after all, is advertised to be in the Tevinter Imperium.

Bring Blood Magic back. Pretty please?

I'm confident that something called "blood magic" will be in DA4.  How it will work is anyone's guess.

But that would have been cool!

The blood mage herald of andraste! That's quite enough for the world to fall apart without any corypheus.

But if a Qunari or dalish can be herald why a blood mage cant? Thats injustice

Because then everyone will leave your cause and you will have one pissed off seeker you will have to deal with.

I hope it doesn't return until DA 5 despite Tevinter being the prime setting for Blood magic. A lesser form of blood magic is certainly a possibility. Though I wonder if PC race will result in differing boost to blood magic. See? This is why I became ok with blood magic missing from DA:I, the justice blood magic deserves is a very hard thing to fulfill. Despite feeling slightly unsatisfied with necromancy, I would take an improve version of necromancy vs Titled: Blood magic.

Imagine that internal conflict for Cassandra; the only person who can close the breach is a blood Mage. What do?

Oh, leliana, josie and cullen will never learn. Oh, cullen especially
Varric-ok, he already has an elven blood mage friend. I think iron bull will be alright, he doesnt bother. Solas says bloodmagic is just another form of magic and is not dangerous by itself
Cole font give a f**k about what happening around
Well, Sera will be kinda shocked but the whole inquisition is a one great shock to her so doesnt matter
The only one who will be opposite is dorian and what would be reeal fun
Oh and Hawke. Hawke will just explode. Unless he/she is a bloodmage himself

Edit: forgot cassandra - well she would have to Deal.With.It

I'm with you when it comes to giving blood magic the justice it deserves but I feel like necromancy is more Navarran Magic then Tevinter Magic, since DAO I have always felt that tevinter mages would specialize in blood magic so I would like to see that. Altough I do think a good number of tevinter mages would know necromancy as an alternative to using blood magic. Dorian seems to have a lot of influence in tevinter so I could see BW not including it as a specialization because Dorian is trying to get rid of the corruption and blood magic is seen as corrupting and evil to those that don't use it or want to get rid of it. Imo

Well Dorian does not hate blood magic he does not even consider using your own blood or the blood of the willing as a problem. His problem is the living sacrifices and all the demon crap he consider's that "real" blood magic.

I imagine in DA4 we are getting the "lighter" version possibly I mean we are going tevinter and I think this is the best point where they can do the spec proper justice.

Yeah, as long as it does not go into the bad parts of blood magic I doubt Dorian would really give a crap. Only way I could see Dorian getting pissy is if you start going into the bad side of it, WHICH could be interesting if it's done right.

DA2 gave Blood Magic a bad name. Lunatics don't represent all Blood Mages, and don't believe the Chantry's lies.

Bring it back or riot.

Yes, please.

No more annoying Templars and Seekers! No more preachy chantry women whining about mage and the black city! Bring on the blood magic and it's power!

I'd be hugely disappointed if they didn't bring blood magic into a game in Tevinter. Nothing says "the imperium" more than magisters using blood magic to gain power in the quest for supremacy.... and everything else.

The irony is that DA2 is the first game to introduce a genuinely friendly bloodmage. In DA:O, every damn bloodmage we met was some kind of cackling evil wizard or foolish lackey.

Avernus was not a cackling evil wizard :(

I'm all for blood magic if it's done right, by right i mean if I do choose to take the bad route of blood magic, I want to see the affects of it on my character and how it affects my companions as well, if I use a spell that uses my companions blood x amount of times it would be cool to see it affect them as well(short and long term abuse). Mental and physical effects on PC and companions would be awesome. That's just a little bit of what's needed to make blood magic the way it should be imo, I would list more but I'm tired and passing out soon.

Is there a thread to list what we'd like to see from a blood Mage specialization if it's in DA4?

No. He was just a sadistic mad scientist using Wardens for his experiments. Which I did support, btw.
