If "Pathfinder" is going to be a title given to our PC, then would we see other Pathfinders in the game?  Highly unlikely that our character would be the only one set out of this initiative.

Maybe we start off as a group of pathfinders on a mission gone wrong, then we discover some mystery and the person you play as becomes the leader and we recruit new companions.

It could be that the N7 guy we saw in the teaser was a Pathfinder.

 

Bioware said he wasn't the player character, yet the two squadmates with him might be Drack and Cora, two rumored squadmates mentioned in the leak that revealed the Andromeda setting.

 

I'm wondering if perhaps the player character Pathfinder will be stepping into the boots of a previous Pathfinder that failed. Maybe he gets killed / captured / lost in the battle against the hostile aliens that we saw in the trailer?

Yes like in ME universe we've met other specters.  Would be nice if there are other Pathfinders in Andromeda (NPCs).

That's what I am thinking.  Like we are part of a class that has recently graduated and earned the title "Pathfinders" that is division of the N7.

Instead of an N ranking like what Shepard had, the main character could have a P ranking. P1 all the way up to P7

P1/P7 doesn't roll off the tongue quite as well as N7.  But I see what you're saying.  Have the Pathfinders be a separate entity from the N7s.  I agree.  But if they want to tie in N7 to ME:A, then I'd say tie Pathfinders to N7.

The main character could be a pathfinder and one of the human squadmates be an N ranked soldier or have a group of N ranked individuals that are seen threoughout the game  that we interact with every now and then.

 

P1 or P7 sounds alright for me

Reminds me of "The Inquisitors" or "The Wardens" but hopefully with less Hero worship. Anywho, interesting idea. I could see Bioware slipping other Pathfinder Soldiers in as squadmates, random encounters, quest-givers, and reaccuring characters acting as "the heroes of another story". Also could tie in as multiplayer characters and/or coop. I wonder, if the Pathfinders are a group, would it be mult-racial or strictly human? Strictly military or employing skilled private contracters (an option for players who would rather be a merc than a soldier) in order to supplement their numbers?

Why wouldn't we just maintain our rank? We're clearly not going to be finding paths alone.

I like the idea of there being other Pathfinders but only if we can locate and engage these other Pathfinders in a duel to the death in which one Pathfinder must behead the other. There can be only one!!

I hope we can see other Pathfinders, the relative lack of other Spectres in Mass Effect I found kind of disappointing, and the fact they were all pretty bad at their job but that's a different topic.

 

It would be cool if you could find and collaborate with new ones, maybe find other ships with their own crews and dock with them, far fetched and a lot of content I know, but I can dream...

I wouldn't mind having a rival pathfinder who happens to have his or her own crew. You both have the same objective but they are completely unwilling to work with you as they want the glory for themselves.
