There Are Alternate Endings?

Anyway, many friends kept telling me how there were alternate ending choices. Something about different doors to choose? I saw none of that. And my only choice was to grab ahold of those weird control thingies and disintegrate. I actually liked this ending, I found it morbidly poetic, but that's me.
But where were these options again? Everyone kept telling me that BioWare added in options due to feedback.

You probably had low EMS. Sometimes Control is the only option, sometimes Destroy is, sometimes you get both, and sometimes, if you're extremely unlucky, Synthesis is an option.

Destroy ending - You Survive
Synthesis - EDI Survives
Control - EDI survives still
Refusal - I give you a slap for choosing such a horrible thing in your game

If you have low EMS isn't Destroy the only option?

No.
If the base is saved in ME2, control will be the only ending if ems is below 1750
If the base is destroyed in ME2, destroy will be the only option if ems is below 1750
If playing a ME3 default playthrough the base is destroyed and not saved. So only destroy will be available if ems is below 1750

Who even picks an ending because a certain character survives?

Because people get attached to EDI.

But would you seriously pick a galaxy wide impacting choice just to save one AI?

Well, I wouldn't but I'm not everyone.

Not just one AI. All the Geth too ![]()
Plus a lot of people on the Citadel.
Only time I pick destroy is if I hate the Geth and killed them all already!

In the control ending if ems is low enough for squadmates to be killed on the beam run, and one of them is edi, the platform is destroyed and will not be seen in the memorial scene. Its name won't be on the wall.

I know that, but right now we were talking about the people who chose an ending only because they want one character (EDI) to survive ![]()

Low EMS Synthesis is fun. Only on PC can it be achieved.
