Apparently Divine Vivienne has to deal with the mage-hating Silver Shield:

For those of you unaware of who the Silver Shield are, they are an independent Templar Order that forms because they straight up hate Vivienne for being a mage and refuse to serve her. This occurs if you ally with the templars, have Cullen go off lyrium, and have Vivienne as Divine. However, having Cass reform the Seekers overrides this ending so most people never see this.

 

So much for all the pro-templar talk about how the bad parts of the Templars are now gone. What are your thoughts that Divine Vivienne resulted in an independent order of mage-hating Templars.

I mean, I don't like the idea of the Silver Shield at all... but that was literally one line of complaint. They seem to be a minor annoyance at worst for Vivienne. I just wish we could learn more about what they actually do.

I love Viv as a character, but she's a mess as Divine.  It's ironic that she spawns an order like that since she's the most conservative of the three.  But she just doesn't understand that people won't stand for having their fates dictated to them anymore.

No, because all the templars are dead in that ending.

Don't think so. It wasn't mentioned in my conscription/Divine Viv playthrough.

Except not all the templars die if you side with the mages, we know some are part of the Inquisition, and some stayed loyal to Chantry even if the bulk defected to Samson/Corypheus.

The Inquisition's templars aren't anymore. Like Cullen.
