Iron bull - wow it SUCKS. I didn't see it coming ...I read posts where 90% are saying " meh yeah I knew it " .... I never thought he'd turn on you/us ...question: if you romanced bull does he betray you? Anyway..ouch. Killing him was definitely not fun...and the fact that I was left with only 3 players to save that damn dragon.... *sigh

Solas - not cool ..we only see him for what 10 mins? Sure he explains a great deal but ehhh I dunno ..see this is why I prefer Cullen..the bastard says he loves my elf and leaves her to die with the damn anchor ..and can we PLEASE talk about that dramatic cut-off arm/hand ..really? Couldn't they have given her a cool hook or something ...geeeez.

Teagan - Wow what an ungrateful bastard.

I usually hate on Leliana but this dlc ....Josephine was freaking annoying ...

Length of the game was ridiculously short ..which obviously explains why it felt rushed ...cause dun dun dun : DA4 is coming!!! =/

So what happens now...is it about the Inquisitor still ....or a new warrior  ...ugh I really really really hope it's not. Can we just use the damn characters we already grown to like/love and somehow make them relevant again..do we need another savior?

Now excuse me..I must go play second play through with my human noble + Cullen

There was a sound file called "solastakesyourhand" found by dataminers, so I don't think Solas left you to die with the anchor. He even does some sort of hand movement to a non-romanced Inquisitor that indicates a severing motion from within.

Iron Bull: ... Really? The Qunari is the ultimate brain-washing culture, and Bull can reveal in the main game that he'd gone to the re-educators before because he wanted them to "fix him like they fixed his friend," and the game reveals that he went to the Re-educators after he returned to the Qunari... and you're surprised that he turned on you?  (And yes, he does it for a romanced partner too.)

Solas: No, Solas doesn't leave you to die with the anchor. :) He just removes it with a kiss rather than a wave of his hand.

If you look closely, when the Inquisitor first approaches him and her anchor goes haywire, his eyes glow blue and then the mark settles down. For non-romanced Inquisitors, his eyes again glow blue as he removes the anchor with a gesture. When a romanced Lavellan's arm goes haywire again at the end of the encounter, his eyes glow blue again just before the kiss, and then after the kiss her hand has turned to green plasma that's slowly breaking up rather than an arm that's glowing green, just like it does for non-romanced Inquisitors he's removed the mark for.

Well, if Tallis wanted to kill the dude who saved her for leaving the Qun is not surprising Bull falls on the same level.

What made me hate Solas was the fact that elves are not in ways of extinction, they could have better lives indeed, but the dude just doesn't care for anything is not a spirit or an ancient elf, I knew that there was something bad cooking in there when I saw him killing Flemeth, he earned a tight knot for crossing the line and being some kind of fascist supremacist.

I was surprised at Teagan, now, it's official, each member that family is a genuine sonofabitch, Eamon: a careless and abusive man, Alistair: A stupid selfish whiny ungrateful traitor Teagan: An unfrateful bastard, Isolde: A stupid moron

He didn't. She gave her soul willingly to him and left Flemeth's body. People see different things, but she said souls are not unwillingly taken.

He didn't take her soul, only her power.
Solas was not unwillingly.
And we know that part of unwillingly is not true, I doubt the Wardens possesed by Corypheus wanted it or the ones who destroyed the Archdemons.

I'm guessing Bull only turns on you if you sacrificed the Chargers? I don't have any PTs where that happened so I can't test it. He stayed loyal in my game though. But yea, if the condition is you sacrificed the Charges then idk what the hell you expected. Makes sense to me that's what would happen.

Because Flemet was not elvhean, just human, he clearly showed a supremacist behaviour, he wouldn't be pleased of Mythal merged with a human, also Flemeth tried to preserve and restore the ancient world without wiping out the current one, seems that diplomacy was futile after all, just see how aggressive are the people on Witches of the Wilds, I know Solas is mad but people's jerk behavior doesn't help at all, how does anyone expect change the bald lunatic's mind if people are being ignorant and selfish fools?

Or if you never got his personal quest at all.  In that case, he defaults to being qunari.

See that's my beef with condescending closed minded Solas...only cares about the elves.. how matter of fact he is about unhappily destroying the world for a greater cause..

Seen a few people here mention this happening to them. Not completing Bull's loyalty mission defaults to him being still loyal to the Qun. Nothing personal... bas

I don't know... this just simply does not look like it was a murder. This looked like she knew what to do and he realized a moment before it happened what she intended. The glowing eyes is all Mythal too.

Umm, Flemeth would have been a lot stronger than Solas at that point. He wouldn't have gotten whatever it was he took without her allowing it.

Yeah it seems if we don't complete personal quests it can change the outcome, and also watch for a bug that prevents your actual save from importing. Some have done quests and gained results as if the quest was never done when they would load the DLC.

The familiarity between him and Flemeth led me to believe that he thought of her as Mythal, not Flemeth the Witch of the Wilds.  But I suppose that's up to personal interpretation.  And he does care about more than just the elves; he just puts his own people first.  Not unlike how the PC can be played in a variety of BioWare games (pro-human Shep, strongly pro-mage Hawke, super religious quizzy, etc.)

It is nice to know that in saving the Chargers you also indirectly save the Iron Bull.   He is not my favourite character but no one deserves the Qun.   (About the only thing I think Solas and I do agree on).

Solas has an odd way of showing mercy.    He cuts off your arm to save you from it killing you, only to admit this is a temporary reprieve since he is still intent on carrying out his plan which will result in a chaotic hell hole for everyone.     I find it darkly humorous that he says to his romanced Lavellan "I will never forget you" and the writer thinks we will feel sorry for him when he is the only one responsible for killing her.     I wonder if that choice of whether to "redeem" him or simply "kill" him will be at all relevant to what happens further down the line.   Personally I'd rather keep my options open since I invariably find when the time comes I don't necessarily do as I originally planned due to a change circumstances.   I'd hate to be tied to something like that.

I found the attitude of Teagan incredible.    Mind you he looked nothing like the Teagan I met in Redcliffe in DAO.    Still spending his time since then as ambassador to Orlais has likely taken its toil of both his looks and temper.
