The ship will be called "Nostromo". It carries deep fried frozen people. After a long journey the essential crew awakes. They pick up a distress signal and investigate. Unfortunately they bring an alien back. A predator like creature that goes on the hunt for the crew and it also seems to have a taste for frosted Turian entrecote.

Meanwhile the ship's android has it's own agenda...

 

The protagonist is able to kill the alien, but the ship suffers damage. Not all frosted settlers will make it to Andromeda...

Actually, not quite.  Specter is not the same as spectre.  Both pronounced the same, but have radically different meanings.  There's a word for that but I can't think of it right now.

 

In the most basic sense of the word, one is metaphysical, one is not.

With respect to specter vs spectre, this is a regional spelling difference, and specter wasn't even most common in the United States until the mid 20th century.
