It was the other way round: the Inquisitor accidentally ended up in Solas' dream, and Solas was so pleasantly surprised that he decided to show us around a bit.

Ah - ok, I never got that - one more reason for a new PT...

But the way, do you get that scene if your Inquisitor's a Dwarf? That would make this scene the first time the Cadash Quizzy's dreamt in their entire life.

Yes and you need to stretch your imagination and come up with a valid reason, like it maybe it was the effect of the mark! Personally I think it's an oversight.

The mark's a valid reason IMO, but as has been said elsewhere it feels like an oversight because Dwarven PCs never get to comment on it being their first ever experience at having a dream. Even Solas's comments to Varric show that he (Solas) knows dwarfs don't dream, but he makes no remark on it either...

After the main quest was done, I noticed an elf in gold skin tight jumpsuit talking to one of the servant elves right next to the steps outside in front of Skyhold's main hall. This is pretty close to where you spawn in. The elf changes looks periodically, but doesn't have face tattoos, and is always in a gold skin tight jumpsuit.

Is he an out of place action hero or a spy?

No more an oversight then dwarf warden being able to do the fade part in DAO.

Yep, the whole encounter in Mythal's temple takes on a different flavour:

Solas: "There are other places, friend. Other duties. Your people yet linger."

Abelas: "Elvhen such as you?"

Solas: "Yes, such as I."

And then the two exchange a very portentous glance.

This makes me want to kill Abelas.

I think it's one of the MP characters, the AW. As for the armor, he might have looted it.

If we can wear gears from centuries lost buried corpses, why can't others?

Was replaying the story when I just realized something. I forget when exactly, but it's from a conversation in Haven:

Solas: Closing the Breach is our primary goal, but I hope we might also discover what was used to create it. Any artifact of such power is dangerous. The destruction of the Conclave proves that much.

Inquisitor: You don't think whatever created the explosion was destroyed in the blast?

Solas: You survived, did you not? The artifact that created the Breach is unlike anything seen in this age. I will not believe it destroyed until I see the shattered fragments with my own eyes. Anything with that kind of power is bound to show up sooner or later

He puts the idea in your head that the Breach is created by an artifact despite there not being any proof. For all you could have known at that point in time, the Breach could have been created by some crazy cultish group that sacrificed the lives of everyone at the Conclave...

Ok, after Trespasser I have started to wonder about a lot of things Solas has done.

After the explosion at the Temple - does he really try to help or is he only trying to get the mark off the unconscious PC - and only when that does not work, he tries to find a way to close the breach?

Why is he really staying with the Inquisition - to close the breach or only to get to Cory so he can get to the orb? I wonder what his plan was: Quizzy defeats Cory - Solas picks up orb and (surprise!!) opens the veil and destroys the world?

And what about all these old elven artifacts we "activate"? Solas claims they strengthen the veil. Is this plausible after his revelations in Trespasser? Seems like the last thing he wants to do is strengthening the veil. He wants to tear it down. So - was he lying? What did we actually help him achieve here?

Perhaps one of the first things the Inquisitor should do after Trespasser is to destroy all these artifacts....

Realistically, you just pointed out several plot-holes, expected in the game where "rule-of-cool" is in it's full power. They came out with a very cool idea and ignore inconvenient sub-plots and lore (as we saw before and not a single time).

Now, from the point of view of someone who has to patch all those plot-holes for coherent had-canon, I would say those we have now idea what those artifacts really do. May be we had to activate it to weaken the vale? Or well can be they DO strengthen the vale FOR NOW. Solas used our help to stabilize the world as it is (he needs a place to work after all), and to find all those important devices. And the moment he is done with the preparation to tear the vale down he simply switches the function of artifacts to the opposite!

Or something like this :)

I would say 50/50 based on approval.

Solas admits to using you but his feelings for you and your people change depending on how he feels about you.
