So Marksmad just convinced me to play a couple of Bronze matches on PeaSeaMasterBaits for the first time. I didn't get any screenshots because I don't know how to take them on Origin (Does it even have built in screenshot support? Or is that too complicated for the badly trained monkeys they employ?) but I didn't do too badly, all things considered. But it was really really weird being a noob again. And I panicked at the beginning of both matches because my power icons weren't at the bottom of the screen like I'm used to and I had two seconds of "OMGIFORGOTTOSPENDMYPOINTSIHAVENOPOWERSARRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!ONE!!!"

I have, however, come to the conclusion that anyone who plays a shooter with a mouse and keyboard is a secret sadist who wants to slowly torture themselves to death. I don't care if it gives you better precision after approximately 3,000 hours of practice (made up exclusively of shooting the damn wall because you can't aim for ****) it is possibly the most frustrating thing I've come across since my daughter learnt what boybands are (I've since educated her on Muse and Mass Effect, so it's all good now).

As some of you may remember, BioWare decided to make my URs on EcksBawks look like this:



And give me a disproportionate number of Eagles just because. Well, guess what UR it gave me on PeaSea?



Yep, apparently I want to ****** marry the Eagle or something. I claim this as proof that the store is rigged.

Could be worse, I do consider it the 3rd best of the starting URs, really good for caster kits which is all you can effectively play at higher difficulties anyways (at the beginning)

And now, after two days of grinding pugs.... I have the Tsol to go with it!

The sad bit? I would have MUCH prefered the Eagle (I actually LIKE it, especially on the Tsol).

did you relocate the power buttons around WSAD?

a gaming mouse with programmable extra buttons is nice to have, too.

aiming with mouse definitely deserves investing some practice time

I have the Logitech G600 MMO mouse which has about 1,000 extra buttons so I've hot-keyed everything on there. I had to keep checking what was on what button though, and I had to stop and change my mouse sensitivity a few times. I can set up different profiles on my mouse (3 on board and more on my PC's HDD) so I might make a new one for ME3MP and fiddle around with DPI.

As an alternative to WASD, try ESDF.  It's where your fingers are supposed to rest normally if you use proper typing, but if you don't then nevermind

 

also I don't think you can screenshot ME3MP without modding the coalesced

I have a $14 mouse that has a back and forward button.  It works ok.

 

You shouldn't slander the Mighty Eagle though.  Although you are allowed to point out that it should be in the SMG category and use SMG amps.

I tried starting a PS3 account...I got the eagle in my gift pack...

 

I played 2 games then quit..... damn backward buttons

If you're on PC you can screenshot without modding. Either just printscreen or alt-printscreen, then ctrl-v in mspaint. Voila. (Assuming you're on Windows)

Don't put everything on your mouse. It's not more efficient, it seems like it. But it's not. (Personal experience here. I did the same thing) If you're WASDing, then Q and E are the quickest buttons you have, even including your mouse. Put maybe two things on your mouse that you expect to do while you're moving but won't screw up your aiming.

Your video options have to be in window no border for that to work.  At least for me that is the only way I could get it to work.

I've always had it in borderless, interesting.

The button layout is selectable under the in-game options, you can set the PS3 version to use Xbox button layout and vice versa.

I'm gonna move my medigel-cancel from the thumb button. It really screws up my aim. Powers 2 and three still go on mousewheel up and down, that works like a charm.

That does not work if you are in full screen as print screen does not work on directX.

There are plenty of apps for this that will do what you want. In the format you want, in the folder, you want, with the hotkey you want.
