I was told that Party Banter happens roughly every 10 - 15 minutes. If you go into a menu screen, fight, talk to someone, ride your mount the timer gets paused.

 

I tested this theory and it is correct for my game and I have been able to record some party banter.

 

However no one has mentioned my romance in any of my playthroughs. Previously it was Josephine, this play through it's Sera.

Sera has given my Inquisitor a nickname, but Cole doesn't mention it. I have completed her romance quest 'A Woman Who Wants for Nothing' and they comment on the romance then, but nothing while out exploring.

 

The only thing I can think of to cause this is how quickly the romance changed. I did her personal quest 'The Verchiel March' and after the conversation following that I talked to her again straight away and got the scene where she talks about noticing the flirting and they go up to the Inquisitor's room. Straight after that I talked to her again and got her romance quest. The scene where they talk on the roof was somewhere in all that too.

Perhaps certain banters are bugged? I've romanced Dorian four times, but never heard anything from Cole about that, even with banter trigger from CE.

Banters are a bit boring sometimes. After my opinion in Dragon Age 2 you had the best Banter. Varric and Isabella .... just ... hehehhee

I think some of the romance banter lines are tied into other banters and if you didn't have the romance active when you heard that banter you don't get the line again.   I don't believe the banter ever repeats or does so very rarely.    

 

Thus if you are using the same group of companions all the time, its probably possible that your banters have all been 'used' up before you got the romance active.    Just an idea.  

 

I haven't experienced this problem though, since I usually get the romance rolling as soon as I reach skyhold.

@Navasha  Yeah, I started flirting with Sera at Haven and Started the romance as soon as I got to Skyhold. I'm level 12. I know it's early in the game and I won't have heard them all, but I thought I would have at least heard one by now. And it's not just this playthrough it's every playthrough.

Banter about romance may seem rare because not every follower talks about every romance, and for those that do, it's just one topic among many.

• Every possible follower pairing has a banter file between them. So having a full party of Sera, Bull, and Cole means you are drawing from three possible pairings: Sera/Bull, Cole/Sera, Bull/Cole.
• Every file has multiple possible topics at any given time. The pool gets smaller as they are used up, but many are reactive and activate/enter the pool after whatever event.
• There's no preference given, so a romance topic (or any topic) in a full party has a 1-out-of-however-many-topics-are-active-in-3-files-worth-of-banter chance to fire.

As mentioned, some romance topics are branches of other banter topics and may have already happened, but most that reference Sera's romance are standalone. But given that there is something like 5+ hours of banter, and judging by that link you're looking for a specific 6 minutes spread among 7 followers, and you can only have 2+Sera at a given time, and there will be three pairings of other topics active, it seems like your banter is fine. Those ones simply haven't happened yet.

It's my belief that 1 of the latest patches has glitched the party banter related to romances.
Prior to the last patch,
(Cass LI) Dorian mentions Cass blushing. Also,
Sera mentions Cass' underwear.
Etc
And this banter WAS repeated several times,
However,
After the recent patch,
This banter is not triggering-at all for my PT's either.
So this may explain why you're not getting any romance specific banter, IMO, but this is just a guess since nothing has changed on my end, except patches.

I don't believe there is any bug.   I just finished my last playthrough yesterday and there were a ton of romance related lines in banter.    For the record though I was using the Multiple Romance Mod on that run to experience some of the romances I would never do in a normal playrun just to see how they were.   So I may have had like 5 active romances going so.....  there was lots for everyone to say.

Same thing here. I've done everything romance wise with Sera other then her bad dream scene and no banter is triggering. I only bring Sera and one other person so i know that they'll have no one else to talk to other then Sera which eliminates the chance of the third person being talked to. Other banter comes up but nothing about the romance.
