Actually its a far more mixed bag for AW since besides chain lightning and the lightning passives, AW can't generate barrier from spirit damage off of the most dangerous mobs (assassins and saarebas). Wave 3 and 4 can be a real challenge in keeping barrier up.

Those 2 are immune to lightning? Sorry didnt see that from the above screen shots.

Edit: I still can't see electric resistance from the screen shots for those two.

I'm pretty sure Spearmen apply sunder on hit, which stacks up to five times at least 6 times. Also Defenders sometimes reflect damage taken even when dead, dealing massive damage.

Ahh... reflected damage could explain why I was being hit for ~700 as noted earlier in this thread.  Seems logical.

Well, I don't know if it is indeed based on the damage you dealt, or there is a set amount of damage they deal, but a couple of times when I Leaping Shot them I got hit for 5-6 instances of 500 physical damage each (give or take) AFTER they died. So, that kinda makes sense to me.

Until I figure out how to avoid this damage, I will consider these guys broken af.

Leaping shot + reflected damage  :o

I'll buy it as reflections, since I hurt myself how much I was hurting him, and your 500 sounds reasonable (was that how much damage you usually get with leaping shot?).

I feel like the reflected damage is related to the blinking shield, but I dont really know how yet.  So... avoid like crazy is my suggestion.  Let the pugs kill themselves  :P

use exploding shot on the shield guys if you don't want to trigger the reflected damage,

exploding shot cant be blocked by anything so its useful on all units and it instantly breaks the units ability to block for at least a few seconds granting the perfect opportunity to kill it (particularly useful against spearmen)

that reminds me the sarabas boss does a crazy attack that sucks your entire team to it, if you don't break her stance she then uses mind blast and chucks you all over the area with a lot less health (I tend to find a quick leaping shot stops her stance)

the sarabas normals have way to much def compared to the boss units and half the time seem to deal higher damage, making them far more of a problem /

Big update today:

  • Accurate internal cooldowns for most enemies
  • Weapon damage for some enemy abilities
  • Completed some missing data for the Spearman and the Defender
  • Completed the Status effect list for all enemies except the Qunari Commander
    • Status effects from Trespasser have been added on the image, even though they don't appear ingame (Bug)
    • Description for status effects included in the guide

So, what do defenders do?  If i am reading it correctly if there is another qunari unit nearby the shield will reflect damage in 180 degree arc with 4m of range.

If so, defenders back to back could prove to be a problem.

Ally = players. Btw retrieving this information is far more difficult than reading pseudocode, so it's most likely not complete

And I believe an ally needs to hit the shield for the shield-explosion to proc, although I'm not sure how it works exactly

And also, a lot of this stuff needs to be tested ingame, since the data I'm retrieving is mostly from SP, so I'm not sure if it works the same for MP. I'm not even sure if the empty placeholders for status effects (seen from the Fade) are supposed to carry a status effect, or if they're empty on purpose

If anyone can confirm that the Qunari Spearman or Shock Trooper deal 2x damage when you have guard, I'd greatly appreciate that

I finally decided to add qunari and darkspawn resistances/immunities to my thread but I'm stuck.

I can't make out which are the shock troopers and the defenders.

I figure the shock troopers ought to be brute type qunari, but the image doesn't look like anything like those.

I have no clue whatsoever what the defender looks like.

a little help plz

I also noticed this thread still hasn't been added to the resource library.

Dragonracer, for shame...

You're right, shock troopers are the big brute guys who leap across the map after you've run over to them forcing you to backtrack. One of them was our target and named as shock trooper. Not sure about defenders, but would assume they're the shield morons with the stupid shield explosion.

What's the motivation behind this faction being so resistant to most types of magic/elements besides lightning in nm? Why are they so weak to physical though?
