Bollocks. I didn't do Vivienne's personal quest and she did the spa thing with me. Bravo Bioware.
This is a bug and it needs to be fixed.

I've noticed, even if you do Varric's personal quest, you won't get his Trespasser cutscene unless you Also talk to him at the post-Corypheus banquet and tell him to help out Kirkwall.

It's not a bug. it's based on his personal quest and how high his approval is. Varric has to see you as a good friend to get his cutscene in Trespasser. He also needs to be Kirkwall Viscount for it.
Vivienne's isn't bugged, she doesn't need to like you to have spa day.

.....This is stupid. Bioware could have told me this before Trespasser came out. How high does his approval need to be? Goddamn.
