I found the Giants were bugging out on the Orlesian map. I had no issues with the other maps, which isn't to say that's universal. This was consistent in my play time however.
One just bugged out for me in the Tevinter Ruins, while I frustratedly kept hitting his lifeless body, the game crashed. Pls fix!

It is one this thread or maybe another thread. The bug is that the giant needs to complete the animation of going down on his knees and then die. If you kill it way too fast like with Dragon Rage or some other abilities, you may bug the death. So just try to kill it slowly. 
And if it bugs out, the host has to friend someone in the game and leave the game and reset the zone. And if the host migration is good, the original host could rejoin the game. If you are soloing.. oh well....

Really? The giant has to complete the going down animation or otherwise it will bug out? If this is true, this is good to know! And if that's the case, this won't help playing with PUGs because most of them clearly don't know about these kind of things. Hmmm!!
