Would Solas have had a different opinion if the Dales still existed?

Just something that occurred to me. What if Solas awoke to a Thedas where the elves had their own independent kingdom, where relations between elves and humans hadn't soured, where the elves were still in a positions try and rebuild something under the leadership of those that still had their conscious connection to the Fade.

Would he have judged the current world so harshly?

On the other hand, everyone is still cut off from the Fade, the many elven wonders were still lost, an the elven religion still hails the Evanuris and vilifies him.

Opinions?

Probably will be the same, but unlike dealing with separate clans in the wild rejecting him; he'll have an entire nation with the belief that the Evanuris are gods and Fen'harel = evil.

They're also still "not people" in his eyes.

The Dales of a few hundred years ago was just a small patch of Elvhen territory surrounded by Human kingdoms and he probably knew that they'd go to war and fail due to just being out numbered.

I do wonder about that.

"My people built a life here... it must have been something to see."

He says that if you take him to Elgar'nan's Bastion.  That was an old Dales site, not ancient elven.

I think he'd care more in either way.

Love - There's a society beyond slums and tribes!

Hate - They worship the Creators EVEN MORE.

I doubt Solas would care. He is upset about the state of the world, tinged by his racism.

This is an observation I made the other day. I suppose if the modern elves were well off, despite the lack of immortality and even with magic being all FUBAR, it might have eased the guilt he probably carries over what happened. That could have been enough to make all the difference. Maybe.
